While trying to find the Shuriken vendor (on green server) in Highpass Hold, I ran into a vendor selling stuff that is Velious themed. This is either a big classic easter egg for things to come, or it's non-classic content - guessing the latter.

The vendor is Wyle Bimlin. The items in question are:

Kael Drakkel Ale

&

King Tormax's Private Reserve

Not good at researching this stuff but it appears on Alla that the NPC is classic but the items aren't.

idk, Alla has the "Original" label on it, but it also shows NPC Added: 2008-02-01 03:47:44.

Plus the inventory list comment on that Allah page is from 2011, so these questionable drinks don't even appear to be Velious content (sold by her anyway), but perhaps much much later than that.

The initial Magelo entry for the NPC is 9/21/10 (https://eq.magelo.com/npc/382818), and also shows an inventory list that does not include these questionable drinks.

EQTC doesn't show her inventory with these drinks either (http://www.eqtraders.com/sources/mob_item_list.php?MobID=1782), although I didn't see an associated date with the EQTC data.

Found a comment about an NPC of the same name selling potion of sustenance here (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2569), dated in 2004, but it specifically says it's referring to the Qeynos Hills version of the mob.

The "Zap Doodle Tonic" seems to be her unique sale item - and the earliest reference to it I could find comes from this post dated Jan 15 2001 at 7:33 PM (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2589#m97958704520293). I is not perfectly clear that these posts don't refer to the QH version of her, but according to this post (https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=11875) the Zap Doodle Tonic wasn't sold by the QH version.

So I hold that the earliest reference to Wyle Bimlin (the Highhold Pass version) is Jan 2001, via reference to her unique tonic. It might simply be that she wasn't terribly noteworthy, that databases online weren't updated with every single NPC... hard to say. But folks were commenting on the Zap Doodle Tonic due to its interesting name from at least that far back.

Oddly enough, I don't see any evidence anywhere that Kael Drakkel Ale or KT's private reserve were ever sold by her... They appear to be available only in Kael Drakkel:

of course. Think how many small things had to be caught to get the client to classic. Every little thing adds up!

Yep. Might want to put this in the right forum...not sure they will jump at reading a thread titled 'Classic?'. I thought it was going to be another b*tchfest about some obscure mechanic that somebody remembers as being different.

Yeah, I looked for a better place to put it, but it's not exactly a bug and it's not a petition either. Seemed like server discussion. If there's a better place to post it, I'm open to suggestions.
