I don’t have much sympathy for Pikhal since I recognize that name from when I was leveling my bard in Highkeep.

Pikhal was waiting on the goblin list for several hours and eventually had enough. He called us out saying he’d been waiting for a long time and that we must have skipped him. I wasn’t the one keeping the list so I can’t say for sure but I know we called in an additional healer at one point so he probably did get skipped based on the group’s needs.

In any event, Pikhal spent the next hour or so ridiculing our group saying we’re “just mad at him because our DPS sucks because he’s been able to KS some of our mobs” and demanding that we kick the druid because the group doesn’t need two healers. Then he proceeded to sit on various spawn points in order to FTE.

I sent him a tell apologizing for the wait on the list and asked politely if he would please refrain from taking mobs from our camp since we were keeping the spawns clear. He lawyer-quested up and told us that the goblins were multiple camps and we could only camp one room and demanded to know which room we would be camping. Keep in mind this was after several hours of him solo camping the lookout room, and us reliably clearing the other rooms.

It was pretty clear that he was just angry so I stopped trying to placate him; we stopped communicating and simply following FTE protocol for all spawns. When this wasn’t enough he logged onto his higher level character, Herb-something, an office in <Dial a Port>, and moved into the middle room and started sitting on those spawns.

I have videos and logs of all of this but didn’t bothing doing anything with them because I’m sure nothing he did is against the rules, but it spoke volumes about his character.

I got skipped for the group so someone could AFK box their GLs Cleric. There's a different thread about it that I had nothing to do with, thanks.

I'll reiterate what happened for you again. I entered an empty zone that was full popped and saw this guys corpse. I killed about 7 or 8 mobs over the course of ~22 minutes. Brippin then says in OOC "these are my mobs". Why would I go out of my way to accommodate someone that shows up and claims the mobs I just spent 20 minutes killing?

He didn't explain what happened or ask for the camp, he lied about dying so why would I believe he's only been gone 5 minutes when the place is full popped and 22 minute respawn? Why wouldn't he say anything when I was on the last mob and he comes back into zone and used it to check his pet damage/lvl while he recovered? The answer is because he had no intention of anything other than getting his way despite losing his claim to the camp by dying/ zoning out however long ago.

Everquest is a big place, and instead of taking him at his word and discussing options, you tried to snake your way around these two points so you could take the camp. I don't care if P99 says you're in the right, it's not about that. Maybe everything you said was 100% true, but there is insufficient evidence. It's your word against his; you're an asshole for starting an argument and taking the camp, and he's an asshole for deciding to killsteal in an attempt to take it back. Instead of coming to an arrangement that both of you could profit from, both of you would rather screw each other over and play victim so you can get what's "yours". P99 in a nutshell.

They didn't need a CLR, they needed DPS or just less AFK people in the group in general. I wasn't KSing When I first joined the list the leader told me I could practice Flying Kick and help DPS. I was level 30. Their group had all level 31-35 people and two pets. Twice I accidentally did more damage than the group and commented on it later when I had been skipped for the 3rd time most likely. The group leader told me to take the side room because they weren't killing it (lvl 35 in group) but I'm not sure he told the rest of the group. Beyond that, when I did leave the side room I always found a goblin up in either the hall or warrior room. It certainly was Aretwo or whatever his name is that they skipped me for when they had another AFK healer in group already.

They're as good as the person holding it. Another option is to recruit and contest. Start a second group and split the camp. If you're in Unrest and the basement group is fucking you with list terrorism, find a few group members and move to ghost/pit and start contesting everything that's not in their line of sight. If you're in HK, grab a few and take warrior or raider room. Otherwise, put your Nikes on and find something else to kill.

They didn't need a CLR, they needed DPS or just less AFK people in the group in general. I wasn't KSing When I first joined the list the leader told me I could practice Flying Kick and help DPS. I was level 30. Their group had all level 31-35 people and two pets. Twice I accidentally did more damage than the group and commented on it later when I had been skipped for the 3rd time most likely. The group leader told me to take the side room because they weren't killing it (lvl 35 in group) but I'm not sure he told the rest of the group. Beyond that, when I did leave the side room I always found a goblin up in either the hall or warrior room. It certainly was Aretwo or whatever his name is that they skipped me for when they had another AFK healer in group already.

IMO, not valid to say that they already have a healer if they have a Druid. Druids can be effective, but you would never turn down a Cleric for a group if you didn't have one yet. It's completely fair that they plugged the Cleric into the group before you. I've been skipped on group lists before, it is what it is and it's completely understandable. Don't want to risk being on a list for a long time and getting skipped over when they need a specific class/role filled? Then don't list at super popular group spots if you can't deal with it.
