What is your UI set up?

Hey folks, I've been trying to get a workable UI set up for Green that at least attempts to mimic the classic design. I know the week i tried Live I had used a classically inspired UI (https://i.imgur.com/cUYEGMJ.png) and have been at least attempting to get a workable version of it for Green with... not really a lot of success (https://i.imgur.com/f7uc4Sv.png)

However, I can't shake the way World of Warcraft and the modern MMO's places the players health area/group area, so I take inspiration from that.

Glad to see you use /viewport though


However, most people who have seen my UI from youtube stuff back in the day always make fun of the fact that I have always only been able to handle using 1 main chat window for everything including combat / messages / everything.


Your classicly inspired UI isn't really the classic one, though. Its actually about a 10 year later one :p

If you want to use it, copy paste your characters UI file so you have a backup.
Then change the name of this one and replace it in your EQ folder.

All the spam and everyone else's damage is in a hidden box in the top right.
If you right click towards the edge you can change the alpha and move it.

Added the white box to cover raid chat.

Yeah, its Oldschool Blue (https://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=1471) which i just picked because it was less painful to look at than the Grey and Green variants and red just felt off.

TBH I wanted to do 1 chat window but sense heading and spells wouldn't feel right and take up so much of the log which is why they're the only things i have in other windows.

Now I'm just in time to report a UI issue I never ran into until today. I right clicked my inventory / stats character menu and hit minimize. Now pressing I doesnt bring it back when thats what its bound to. Anyone know?

I tried loading DUXA's UI today upon jumping in for the first time and couldn't get it to work. Someone said they blocked custom UI's on Green.

Was this bad info, and maybe i'm just doing something wrong?

Nah they blocked custom UIs. I do hope they get work done on bringing the good UI vs the velious one.. i just cant stand the clear boxes

I would post mine but then I have to blur all the PI out because no way is anyone associating my beneficent and polite forum alt with my toxic training kill-stealing scamming characters from the game. I don't need my forum reputation to take a hit like that.

People just never arrange it and get used to it.

Mine's aligned down to the pixel and millimeter. I even used a ruler and the golden ratio for my chat boxes lol. But the result is that it looks and feels as clean and nice as I could possibly make it.
