Are you looking to gain aggro or not gain aggro? Or rather, tank or DPS? For instance, Serrated Bone Dirk is great for Rogues UNTIL it starts to proc. The proc generates a lot of aggro, so they don’t want to use it after lvl 27.

Can't be bard, due to the 2hs portion of his question in the title. But to your point, as a bard it doesn't really matter.
