Hey, I'm new and trying to figure out how most people track buff timers etc.
I read some old posts about a software called GINA.. is that still a thing people use? is it legal on green?

It's legal, but it isn't fair to you. Make those lazy ass fucking melee sonsofabitches PST when they need a new buff.

its great for self buffing because it lets you know when between which of your spawn timers you're going to need to outlay extra mana

Yes, GINA is legal to use. Let's you set up voice audio alerts too. It's extremely useful for an enchanter.

If it's legal, then give us in game timers back. Another stupid (with all due respect) classic thing to be a stickler about

gina should be banned, shame on you if you use it

OP, GINA is legal, as are other third-party programs that merely read log files. An alternative is GamTextTriggers and I think...nParse? Does nParse do the same stuff? not sure.

It's my understanding the main reason GINA etc are legal is that prohibiting them wouldn't be enforceable. Then again, I don't have a particular source for that info, nor a technical understanding of why that would be.

Don't worry - playing P99 helps keep us from getting gina.

Look up EQMap on Reddit. It's awesome for buff timers and navigation.

It does.

your talking about a sever that removed the map but then links on the wiki to a 3rd party tool that does the same job worse /shurg

I cant find anything called EQmap on the subreddit.
are you talking about Mappa EQ? I found a few posts about that.
Ya GINA sucks. But P99 is full of skilless folks who need every advantage they get to play a 20 year old elf sim.
