Okay so I managed to scrape together my life savings to buy a haste item for my ranger. I was debating for like 2 weeks between a mith 2h and an fbss. Went with the mith 2h. Turns out rangers cant fucking use it. How the FUCK do you play a videogame for 20 fuckin years and spend all your savings on an item you cant use. I didnt even think to check, I just god damn assumed rangers could use it cause apparently I'm retarded.

Whoever decided, 20 years ago, that rangers cant use the mith 2h can suck my balls.

Anyone in the market for a nice shiny 2hander with haste for their warrior/pal/sk? Ill give it to you for 1k less than I bought it for let me know :D

I would try and sell the Mith 2hander now while you can. When Kunark drops the value is going to drop precipitously. Unless you want to make an alt that can use the sword, even if you take a loss on the item it's better to unload it now while you can. It's BIS for a few classes at this point, so I don't think you'd have too much trouble in selling it off.

Seems sort of more in-line with the Ranger lore for them to use 1handers. A 2 handed sword is more suited for a knight-like class (Paladin/SK/War). A light mobile forest tracker. I liken a Ranger more to a Rogue than I would a heavy-sword wielding plate class.

Mithril is extremely light- see Lord of the Rings...Frodo s under armor is mithril lined and hes a hobbit, theyre not wearing heavy plate.

Also Ranger in Everquest can use Mithril bracers, legs, BP, boots, gloves, helm and arms.

Yet a two-hander made of Mithril is too heavy for a Ranger?

Ya, other than rubicite rangers were pretty terrible twink character back in the day. Everyone thought they'd eventually be awesome (and they were with the un-nerfed mistwalker) because "brad played one"They have nothing even in the same universe as mith 2hd. Better off buying some redwood wands and go quad some stuff.

Weight for 2HS used to matter. But now "Stamina" is a yellow bar that keeps you from jumping everywhere, apparently.
