If that’s your primary reason, PLEASE STOP NOW. There are plenty of druids/wizards to port people around, the community doesn’t give a hot liquidy shit whether you have a manastone or not. And the community sure as hell isnt worth spending 100+ hours hitting an afk box every 5-10 minutes.

I've taken naps every day when my wonderful wife/ex/wife is cool too cover checks and send my pet in. I've slept about 8-9 hours over the 3 nights so far. I used to work two jobs cooking 18 hours a day so this isn't so bad.

Very interested to hear when/if you do finally get the MS drop, and what the final time tally was. So far this is the longest I’ve personally heard of someone going at that camp. Pray to god someone doesn’t train EE, which evidently has been happening fairly frequently.

AFK checks beyond position 1 is a news story waiting to happen.

Especially with pure RNG and no hard cap drop after a certain amount of time.

I think the best system is cascading RNG. Where it goes from a 1-100 roll, then 1-90, then 1-80, etc until its guaranteed to drop. Intervals can be whatever amount of time. Like after 2 hours it's 1-90. Then 6 hours 1-80. 24 hours 1-1.

Hi, you're bad at porting, that is all really but I'll elaborate. I am level 50 with over 210 Wis. I don't count ports but I would guess I do nearly 50 an hour when busy. I waste 0 time and approach it from a cooks perspective of juggling orders.

I SoW everyone and see invis/ invis half most likely. I med while casting with clarity. I still run out of mana. I also enjoy buffing newbs. I'm extremely generous with my time and what wealth I have.

Whether you believe it or not doesn't matter to me but there is a difference between a guy getting his second Stone to Lord over casuals vs. someone getting one to be able to do even more helpful shit for people such as an on call cleric and druid to come res/ buff people. I fully support people like Mcoy(?) Who go out of their way to counter those whose goal is to deny pixels.

The only way to run OOM porting is to constantly port between druid rings looking for people. Perhaps that's your thing and you want a MS for it, but I've found that less effective - although I'm "bad at porting."

I've found porting and then zoning once or twice results in more ports and higher tips. But what would I know? I'm bad at this. Also way better for selling your wares that you've camped.

I saw 3 drop and go to teal players after the merge. As fucked as it is I have been here for about 80 of the last 86 hours, AT LEAST.

Classically, even 20 hours between manastone drops was seen as quite poor. I'm not sure where they're getting the drop rate from here, maybe inferring rates from Magelo and the bilgehunter site that claims any empty evil eye was a manastone? That would put it at 5% I guess. Their choice. :D

A few hours of sleep versus 15 minute naps or none at all isn't small.

I'll never share my account info and I know at least one person ahead of me would have dropped out by now if it wasn't for that.

That's why they should cap the drop at 24 hours or let you afk if you're not the number one position instead of letting people have an unfair advantage.

Devs expected people to account share when they made the wait between drops this long. Work smarter, not harder.

I sure as hell wouldn’t want to wait 30 hours then just have to drop list because I was too tired. That’s an extraordinary waste of time otherwise. If anything, devs should look at this as an example as to why the drop rates might need to be tweaked. Most likely won’t though since that’d sort of be a slap in the face to everyone that’s suffered through them before you, but perhaps for the next iteration of green years down the road.

Then again, arguably one of the best items in the game, so it should be painful to get....

Getting tru the list that fast initially meant you saw a cluster of Stones, that means it takes a while to have the next one charge up but usually it will have a Stone spree then 1+ days.

This is pure autism on my part now, it has no bounds in reason despite my motivations going into it. I entered the camp around 8-9am PST Monday and had a rule that if I didn't get to 3 or better by midnight I would leave. I got to 3 by 5pm and 2 by 8pm (person failed a check). It was 24 hours before I got to #1. Since then every pop could be my Manastone. Well, it just happens that it's been 64 hours since then.

Although Frog is not a good character because hes essentially outclassed by Robo in every way, you can't have two robos, so frog and robo make amazing teammates, especially with their strong dual tech options and complete elemental coverage between them

But, me having a Druid means we can share the Stone and use my ports to continue to get benefit in expansions, aside from using it to PL, where sometimes having on demand mana is pretty cool... Or the two extra nukes it takes to finish an ice giant quad sometimes.

I doubt you did the math yourself, or you'd likely be singing a different tune.

~4 chloroplasts per hour turned into mana via manastone less mana costs of the chloros is approximately 10 minutes of med ticks.

If it takes 50 hours to get a stone, you'd only need a couple hours a day of active playtime for the rest of classic for the stone to have been worth the camp... Plus you still have the stone going forward to either use or sell.

It gets much more useful for selective farming and PLing and porting and stuff, too, with the potential for fungi tunic regen, regrowth instead of just chloro (potentially mana free regrowths too), robe of the spring clicks, higher base regen at 51+, etc.

if you can correctly guess upcoming PH and weapon , the next spawn will be a eye with stone. I saw it first hand. Guy guessed a frog holding a fine steel hammer. He was right! next spawn he guess eye with stone... jackpot!

Baler mentioned this in his "remove faking the classic" functionality thread.

Another example is, I can basically guarantee after two charm breaks that the next one will hold for a long time.

Try it and see. Enjoy the tinfoil, it may not be tinfoil after all.

Another one is swimming skill. It doesn't just randomly get skill ups. You always get 2-3 in a row based on your int, then none for a while. It never worked in a way that just randomly gave you one skill up here and there, more frequently based on int.

I think last one made 47, but I saw the first 3 drops in 20 EEs so it backs out still. Even with the small sample size. Once it gets to 100 EE I have no doubt all the numbers will work out. We have been on a frog streak for like 16 hours with few EEs, I know that is about to change.

If you saw 3 stones within the first 20 EEs there then you are def in for a long wait. That in scientific terms is called a 'mega cluster' and the spawn takes quite a while to recharge after one of those.

The good news for you is you are starting to hit those thresholds of how long a new cluster takes to charge up, so I wager youll have your stone by the end of today as long as the Evil Eye keeps showing up at a reasonable pace.

I know when I got to #1 on my camp I had 4 or 5 hours of only frogs before I even saw my first Eye to get excited about, I thought the spawn was playing a cruel joke on me after the 40 hour climb to get to the front of the list.

That's not how random works. Having said that, who knows how P99 "random" works. I'd like to see some randomness tests done on their RNG, because it's spiky as hell at least for fizzles.

I've taken naps every day when my wonderful wife/ex/wife is cool too cover checks and send my pet in. I've slept about 8-9 hours over the 3 nights so far. I used to work two jobs cooking 18 hours a day so this isn't so bad.

A wife willing to do that is a keeper! Good luck on the camp!
