I would go with the following:

INCLUDE The Ruins of Kunark
INCLUDE The Scars of Velious
DUMP The Shadows of Luclin
DUMP The Planes of Power
INCLUDE The Legacy of Ykesha (Minus the Invasion of Grobb, so the version when frogloks start in Rathe Mtns)
INCLUDE Lost Dungeons of Norrath (Scaled to run from levels 20 through 60)
DUMP Gates of Discord
DUMP Omens of War
DUMP Dragons of Norrath
DUMP Depths of Darkhollow
DUMP Prophecy of Ro
DUMP The Serpent's Spine
DUMP The Buried Sea
DUMP Secrets of Faydwer
DUMP Seeds of Destruction
DUMP Underfoot
DUMP House of Thule
DUMP Veil of Alaris
DUMP Rain of Fear
DUMP Call of the Forsaken
DUMP The Darkened Sea
DUMP The Broken Mirror
DUMP Empires of Kunark
DUMP Ring of Scale
DUMP The Burning Lands
DUMP Torment of Velious

I would release them in this order:

The Ruins of Kunark
The Scars of Velious
Lost Dungeons of Norrath
The Legacy of Ykesha

That way the level cap would be raised to 65 at the very end, and transportation would mainly be limited to classic style options such as Wizard/Druid ports, boats, and running on foot. Drogmor mounts would become available at the very end of the expansion curve, and the Lost Dungeons of Norrath zones would scale up to 65 for adventurers as needed.

Adding two additional expansions to the expansion curve would extend the lifetime of the game, and breathe some new life into old servers at least for a while. And the odious Planes of Power and Shadows of Luclin expansions could be avoided entirely.

HARD INCLUDE for Planes of Power

Hard to say this qualifies as a RnF.

PoP as long as no PoK.

Gates of Discord was a solid expansion except that you had to be fully raid geared to really experience any of it.

+1 for Legacy and Lost Dungeons

PoP as long as no PoK.

That actually wouldn't be bad. Sort of like Shadows of Luclin but without the Nexus teleporters wouldn't be too terrible.

All of the expansions are fun when you're in em. The game itself kinda falls apart, the old world falls apart. so on and so on. but theyre all fun in their own way.

That really would have made a lot more sense ...

Wasn’t the Luclin expansion originally supposed to be an invasion of the shadowed men and have something to do with the Sol Ro temple?

Also PoP with no PoK gets my vote.

Through PoP with following changes:

No bazaar
No cats
No beastlord
No PoK books
No Paludal(sp) Caverns
No armor dyes
No character model changes

I liked AAs and tradeskill improvements--especially earring of solstice quest/collab.

Spell enhancement on gear for casters. Gave old world items more life and a reason to go for loot never touched before.

I’m really enjoying p2002 right now so I’m going to say the full luclin, pop and Loy. Full with pok, bazaar and maps. Nothing past level 65.

Launch through Gates or Omens, but skipping LDoN, cause fuck using instances to skip leveling content.

I actually liked The mini dungeons of LDoN, so I be down for that. I also never played a beastlord and they interest me. I would like somehow to play that class without having Luclin.

Honestly beastlords are seriously overpowered.....monk dps plus a crazy badass pet and shammy spells.
Any of you that say include luclin I would say fall into 2 categories....you were a newb back then and loved paludal (beginning of EQ's downfall) and its bullshit insane xp, and or you loved the portal system (wait times weren't near long enough imo).
If you were in a high end raid guild....despite the omfg want to blow your brain out shard farming etc, and the fuck you devs with your million hp+ trash mobs with zero loot (vex thall for anyone who never had the displeasure of plowing million+ hp trash for hours to get to a named....back to hours of trash, named etc)....despite that the loot was omg so good. Seru / Emp horse, loved my seru horse. Bloodfrenzy, I miss you, god did you proc like crazy (and not to forget you my offhanded love hategiver)

Kinda forgot where I was going with this....but truthfully the only thing I would want from luclin is aa's. Increase the xp required per aa, ditch a few of the overpowered stupid ones (hi manaburn and dire charm) and honestly I could see those adding a ton of added value to play time on p99.

PoP was actually a fun expansion (keep in mind I was in top raid guild so I actually experienced all of its content), ditch the stupid books, and remove the ability to raid players into zones (its how it was at first, and despite how annoying backflagging apps / alts etc, it was great having xp zones that didn't have complete newbs and constant trains etc.)

Luclin had some fun zones.SSRA was fun as f. Vex Thal no so much. Some of the zones in Luclin were terribly designed.

All of PoP was fun (die in a river if you dont think so)

I loved LDoN. Not necessarily because of the fact that it used instances, but because of the dungeon crawl aspect of it... You weren't just sitting in a room clearing the same X number of mobs over the span of a few hours - you had to actively move through a dungeon clearing rooms on your way. At the time I played a monk and really enjoyed the change of pace it brought to pulling.

Include Kunark and Velious. Cat people from the moon is where I draw the line. But I'd welcome Luclin AA's as something post-end game to do. Only part I'd welcome..

Id include Lord of Destruction from d2. Shit was an example of a brilliant expansion pack.

On a server like this...

Include Luclin, PoP, LoY, LDoN, GoD.

Another server with OOW, DoN, DoDH, PoR would also be real cool.

Anyone suggesting stripping Bazaar, Nexus or PoK from expansions is being nonsensical. You have some false view of what trading and porting really is like on these servers. They’re not some magical sources of human interaction. Most scenarios outside of porting or trading with guildmates you could replace with bots designed to sell or port and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

Bazaar let people sell while they slept or worked which was huge it also reduces prices to make things more reasonable. It also adds a market for lower tier items people wouldn’t bother spending time in EC selling.

Nexus port goes to 1 location per continent (NKarana, GFay, Tox, Dreadlands, Great Divide, Nexus). The portal is on a 15min timer. So if you want to port from one of those zones to the nexus you have to wait between 0-15 minutes, average of 7.5. If you wanted to travel between two of those zones, you spend on average 7.5min waiting to go to nexus and another 15min waiting to leave the nexus. So 22.5min trying to traverse continents then whatever time running to go to the zone you actually care about. This in no way shape or form removes the desirability of porters. If anyone’s dial a port took 22min on average they would be enraged. It’s just another form of boats really.

Plane of Knowledge does kill porting to many core locations. However to Karanas, Kunark, Velious, and Luclin porting still saves a large amount of time over PoK book and run. PoP does a lot to add value to druids and wizards in groups so they’re no longer just solo classes. At this point porting becomes a group benefit more than a money making tool for these classes and having played both in these eras Id much rather groups want to invite my class than people who don’t want to invite me offer 100 plat for a port. Furthermore PoK makes grouping all across Norrath more accessible for newer players who don’t have the connections or funds for a port.

In summary Luclin and PoP are incredible.

shadows of luclin was the best expansion + better looking models than classic + cool zones (vex thal and the underground city thing whatever the fuck)

Anyone that says they liked vex thall didn't get in there in luclin, and honestly Id be surprised if they were in there in pop because it was the gayest goddamn plow ever, hours and hours spent getting to a named.....during luclin for your first dozen or so clears you really needed 60+ in raid to make any decent headway dps wise, pretty much everything had the same model for npcs…..it was boring as shit. If you were lucky you'd camp raid out and finish the next day, or have coth bots set up all over and try and save a few hours getting past the first hour or two of plowing.

INCLUDE Luclin but it's actually inside a hollow Norrath

And it should have been accessible through that long, winding tunnel in Stonebrunt Mountains which starts at the Kerran village, goes below ground a ways, and then just ends abruptly.

I liked the elemental and skeleton model changes. Some of the Luclin player character models looked decent...until they moved. Limbs flailing all over the damn place. The classic models look like potatoes, but I feel like their movements looked a lot more natural.
