The fact is, even at concurrent numbers of 1500 to 2000, it is simply too many players for pre-Kunark. Considering all of this, it has become clear that a second server is necessary.

umm, its 1000-1200 peak, which is very manageable so far

ive had no problem finding mobs to kill

it's been 1250-1300. Many of us can't find mobs to kill post 40. Last night you could literally run from undead zone in lguk to live keep and not have to ivu or iv.

I walked through Lower Guk last night, with no invis, from entrance to Lord. There were also 3 groups in the Minotaur maze area (haven't seen on there until last night).

Yeah. Pre-merg mino's was the duo-trio spot. Hardly ever a full group there.

You're correct, but to be fair I would agree that the old world is much more limited in content post-40 than it is in other level ranges (or than it is post-Kunark). A lot of the options for post-40 leveling are more geared to soloing, duoing, or trioing, rather than somewhere you would go with a full group. So there is some validity to the post-40 pre-Kunark era complaints...but at the same time I would say that's not really a reason enough to keep a second low pop server open.

I doubt we have 1k Iksars in FoB. For one, many people have probably already done the main Iksar classes (Necros, Shamans, and Monks) on Blue and may not be interested in doing the same thing over again on Green. For another, it's not a brand new server launch when Kunark launches like it was when Green launched on day one, so I highly doubt everyone is so eager to play Iksars that the whole server rolls into FoB on day 1; they have other characters to play.

Nothing short of Kunark is going to fix this problem. Anything else (including a server split) is a band-aid. I'd wager that they'll end up releasing Kunark early.

Lol...release Kunark early? Yeah because Nilbog, the guy who has said his goal is to mimic classic no matter what people think, is going to go away from the classic timeline because some people are whining that they can't immediately get into groups in the ZEM highway zones and/or farm plat at lucrative farming spots at will.

Ya know, honestly, everyone I've talked to that used to play have no idea about P99 and the ones that have, have come and played. I bet if there was a way to get an email out to everyone who played in 1999 - 2002 that there's a classic timeline server that just opened a couple months ago, I think you'd see thousands of people flood Green.

I'm fine with things how they are, but I still think Kunark will be released early. An 'unclassic' split and merge has already taken place, so it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility.

RIP Classic, was stoked to play pre-merger. Post-merger have no want to even log on because people are jerks, and all there is, is trains, and over populated camps and zone. Not to mention the server is having packet loss, my network is fine 0% packet loss, 9 ms latency. Yet i log on for an hour and I end up getting disconneted and killed on the hour almost everyhour. I know have wireshark open and im inspecting packets from the game to see what the hell is going on. Im going to also run a ping plot to the server IP address and see if i can find proof of packetloss. Never had the issue pre-merger either ..

Christ people give it some time. Fear\Hate\Sky aren't even out yet, people will naturally strategize the best time to log in to avoid competition, concurrent numbers will taper down a bit. I mean they could just cap the number of people who can log in at once. Say, 900? Would it be perfect then? Embrace the change you damn babies.

Maybe you should post that in the petitions forum for some technical support or in the bugs forum then, not here
