Why I gotsta reboots my computer?

Instead of spending time trying to find the right place to ask this question, I went ahead and decided to complain about it instead.

When I get DC'ed sometimes my account stays "logged in" and it won't clear the account/character from the server unless I reboot my computer. Why I gotsta do that?

I'm hoping I don't regret asking but do you care to enlighten us all how you think America is barely a first-world country anymore? I've seen some pretty bad places on this globe that wouldn't even register on the livable-meter.

I ran into this once, where even after an hour I was still getting a 1018. Rebooted the computer and I logged in fine. All I can think is some zombie process is keeping a connection open.

The titanium client still crashes on me while switching characters about 1 out of 10 times even though I've tired compatibility mode. I've only noticed once where it kept me out for more than 5 minutes. The fun part is when you crash just after dropping something on the ground for your other character to pick up!

Waiting a few minutes fixes this. Your in game LD avatar has to go away for you to be able to rejoin. After you LD nothing you do will speed the process up.

In my experience if you completely exit the game client before switching to a new character you should not crash while loading into the game. I would recommend doing that if you intend to ground transfer.

But you risk the "unknown error" that way that can lock people out of the game for over half an hour. As long as you are quickyou should be able to make it back in time for a ground drop if you crash. Just make sure your two characters are right by each other and drop item at sub 5 secs.

as someone who has traveled the world, 1st 2nd and 3rd world countries, I'd say china has the nicest immediate area type facilities, that said, thats only a very small area of china, same with dubai and uae and other oil rich countries. as far as entire area being sort of nice with pockets of super nice, USA takes the cake. noone comes close.
