I've seen a lot of shit go down in that zone, but watching a 49 mage pull the entire yard (probably to power level a friend) definitely takes the cake for anything recent.

Was being a total dick to me when I tried talking to him about it too.

You would probably get better results if you entered into it without hostility at first.

Instead of "why?", maybe...

"Hey man, I saw that you pulled the entire yard. We're also trying to level over here, so if you could leave enough for us to handle before med breaks, and you take the excess, we would really appreciate it. Does that sound pretty fair?"

And you can add in a "Since we were here first, and we're pretty much level appropriate for the zone." if that's true. Always be open to some sort of solution.

No doubt this sort of reasonable, level headed question won't work on many people playing this game, but it will definitely work on some, and solving at least some of your problems with diplomacy is better than solving none, I would think.

And before you ask, no, that isn't me. Just offering unsolicited (but good) advice.

Unrest is such a shitshow. There's gear there I wanted and to this day some gear I still want from there, but that place is so awful I've mostly stayed clear of it. The first time I was there, my FP group unfortunately had to train two times. This I guess disrupted the main room 1st floor group and one of them was throwing a hissy fit and accusing us a pulling a "ton" of trains (I guess other people were training also and he was blaming those on us). This unfortunately brought out the ugly in me and I retorted with insults to the guy, which I regret. He of course badmouths me to all his friends saying I just purposefully pull a lot of trains which wasn't true at all, the two trains weren't even my fault. I came back a second time and wanted to check out the barkeep and didn't realize there were living mobs up there that would see through IVU so I did personally have to do a train which got someone killed so that just reinforced the idea.

Gave up on Unrest then came back a third time way later to check out priest of najena to find some Kingdom asshole stirring up drama, as is usual for their kind it seems.

Sometimes an act is so apparently dickish though that it moves beyond ‘pleasant discourse.’ Like if someone pushes you out of the way in line at the grocery store and takes your spot, you’re not going to simply tap them on the shoulder and say “pardon sir. I can’t help but notice you taking the spot that I most recently had been occupying. It would be most accommodating if I could persuade you to perhaps let me resume my tenure at the aforementioned position in line?”

No. You’re going to say WTF and probably get into it then and there. People should know better in certain situations. OP was right to go on the offensive with him.

Sure, I agree with you, but that's not what happened. There's a few places to camp to pull from the yard, and maybe this guy just didn't see the group? He even said he left some. It could have been an honest mistake, so I tend to try to err on the side of solving a problem before one begins.

Your example would be more like camping a PH for a spawn and someone coming up and just KS'ing you because they wanted it. Something like that, you are right when people know they are being a dick (or should know). Anyway, all I'm saying on the subject.

So basically anytime you have been in unrest, all you’ve done is train everyone? And then have the nerve to say there was a kingdom “asshole” stirring up drama. Sounds like your trains are what’s stirring up drama

And yes, no shit the trains stirred up drama, that was the whole premise of my post. But no, not "all I've done is train anyone." I literally only trained once and I apologized when I did. The other two trains weren't my fault, none of the trains were done purposefully despite what people like you want to believe, and the zone has a shitton of trains whether I'm in the zone or not. And yes, I do have the nerve to call out Kingdom assholes because I've experienced a good number of them who are just not good people and it's completely unnecessary.

I remember even a couple years ago on blue some high level disrupting the unrest yard by PLing someone and pulling the whole yard when there was 1 group trying to exp there. Pretty douchey move on green or teal where I’m pretty sure the zone is packed as it is.

To be fair, any group is going to get very annoyed if you pull multiple trains through them, especially if two or more happen in quick succession. Sounds like you guys fucked up and instead of being apologetic about it you were just a jerk to one of the people in the other group.

Well, it was no more than 2 from us and they were spaced out, but he was throwing a serious hissy bitch fit about it so I'm almost sure he was being trained by other people but blaming it all on us. And like I said, I regret that I insulted him - even with him acting like an autistic manchild over a couple mishaps in a video game that were beyond our control (one of the times was that we got trained and thus had to bail to zone). I'm still sorry about insulting him and wish I didn't. It was a while ago and I was young and didn't know better.

Then a line with no details trying to shit on an unnmed Kingdom guy.

Considering no one else wanted to respond to you, I'm not sure I should, but honestly you need to learn when and where to use hyperbole, because you were obviously high in high school English classes if you weren't mining for nose goblins trying to catch them all.

The situation at hand presented by OP and the metaphor you're using are not remotely comparable. Get some fucking perspective.

Wow, some of you people here are so profoundly stupid. Probably a bunch of Kingdom players or people so miserable in their lives that they look for any excuse to try to attack people online.

Me apologizing and admitting I acted poorly and stupidly is making excuses? I also admitted the one train I did was indeed my fault, but it was an honest mistake. Nowhere on the wiki did I see it say the barkeep room has a mix of undead creatures and living creatures that will see through IVU. My groups trains were not my fault or stupid decisions. We were trained and so had to zone and the second time was because of terrible pathing - mobs in unrest just randomly teleport through floors and cause trains.

And some of you guys act like I just want to trash on Kingdom players for no good reason. Do you think I actually want them to be autistic, rude, and disruptive jerks? Of course not. I would love if they were all decent, upstanding, kind folks who were a delight to play on a server with. But the ratio has been for every 1 decent human being from Kingdom I encounter, I encounter at least 3 shitters from Kindgom.

If training in this game makes you “bad,” then 99.99% of players are just downright terrible. If you haven’t trained to zone, are you really living?

Training doesn't make you bad, but multiple trains in relatively quick succession does. Usually that means you didn't learn from your recent mistakes and/or haven't tried to switch up your pulling/killing strategy to avoid the train. Aka you bad.
