gave away like 600K in plat and items on blue the past month or so with several events and stuff. decided to do a random popup giveaway yesterday at my normal spot in shady. then some guy got real mad i didn't post exact details on the thread, so i thought i would shame him for feeling entitled and rustle his jimmies.

so what did i do? i recorded and destroyed the remaining 200k (https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=w80uKnSmayw&feature=youtu.be) i had in my inventory and told everyone it's his fault there will be no more plat handouts. i was expecting a level of about 8/10 mad, but this guy went 11/10 and it's kind of funny the pms he sent me. perhaps i'm petty for robbing the good folks on blue to free plat just to get someone mad, but it gave me a good chortle and i hope it give you a good chortle too.

i actually partnered with GMs and gave them a heads up i wanted to do this. if you check blue server chat, you'll see several of my giveaway threads the past month. the first few events were overseen by galach pal and we used /random to remove any doubt...played like blackjack. switched it up each time. if the turnout was low, i hosted a lvl 1 melee brawl at qeynos arena (pretty fun to watch). then like last week, i just got lazy and made ppl form a line at shady and started handing out 1-2k to each person. the remaining items i have left are: AoN, Fungi, Cof (there's an thread on blue chat if any of you want to do it for shits_)and then it's all gone.

i mean, i've been handing out plat the past month like i've been allergic to it...it just got kind of stale? giving someone 200k wouldn't cause as much of a splash as deleting it all and making everyone else shame you. plus, i actively had discussions with GMs to figure out the best methods to give away plat without them having suspicions that it's some elaborate RMT ponzi scheme.

after a while you start to realize that the majority of people ONLY show up when it requires the least amount of effort (e.g. logging in and standing in line and getting 1-2k)...typing /random). i tried hosting like a lvl 1 warrior battle royale event after handing out plat to like 30 people and literally 4 people showed up after for the battle royale. by the way, i gave out way more pp to those who showed up to those; even if they lost. think i gave 20k to winner, 10k to runner up and 5k to everyone else.

Evia, it was quite the "melee" in there! Haha was my first experience with PvP, didn't realize how much chasing and running around would be involved. That aspect was perhaps magnified by everyone being lvl 1 warriors, no spells or anything!
