Which race did you go for your Enchanter?

Was just curious what race you guys chose for your Enchanters, and why did you go with that race over the others?

Third was Dark elf for hide

In any event I went high elf, though i think erudites make a tiny bit better enchanter if you stick to raiding and playing in full groups. If you solo/duo/trio much, the higher base cha is too good to pass up for CR.

Went high self. Easier starting factions most places than dark elf/erudite. High cha/int. Good character models. Didnt have to travel for a decent starting area 1-15. When solo charming I'm usually either illusion troll (regen) or Dark Elf (ultravision @ night). When in dungeons or cramped places, I go gnome illusion.

Haha I would have gone gnome out of the gate if starting stats were a little higher or if I had been comfortable in Steamfont at the time. Love my small toons.

Gnome in basically every other game by default. With the exception of my monk, virtually all of my (6) alts are gnomes.

- Decent caster stats
- Free charm cancel
- Hide to med safely
- If you choose agnostic you can easily do the bone chips and crushbone quests to cheese through 1 - 16 as soon as you get your half elf illusion
- Dark elves look pretty cool

My level 1 gnome enchanter worships Brell Serillis for the purpose of fighting undead in old Paineel. I'll slide right through that door when the time comes and gravity flux myself into places those that don't worship Brell will never be able to use safely. Doing so while reserving the right to quickly use the teleporters to both Paineel and the Dark Elf Cleric guild in Neriak Third Gate.

I've yet to decide whether to live in The Hole like a proper Brell worshipper or just visit while having a bind at the Fire Pots. But in all likelihood I'll just end up dispensing Clarity or C2 and haste to people doing ridiculous shit down there with manastones.
