There were 3-4 small groups of people monopolizing that. It takes a small team of skilled individuals to farm hate consistently. There were probably even more than 3-4 of these types of groups that emerged over time. You were never in one it seems; I wonder if that has any correlation to your social or gameplay skills.

To be fair the scarcity issue is completely warped on blue. Earth staff is super rare and a pain in the ass BUT back in era every guild wanted the epic drops for themselves to increase their power.

When you are AM/AW/TMO/IB/RIOT and you've hoarded everything you need to perpetuate raiding indefinitely (pending new warmbody apps) then who gives a fuck if four to six douchebags have untagged hate farmer alts? Shit if they are kicking something back to the guild then its a net benefit. Client identification, number of accounts, time online, money & legacy items across accounts, evolution of these stats.

Doubt it would be very hard to write a script to just indicate likely RMTers based on the above.

Strangely druids dont need them, yet that's a classs i could see needing jboots in a raid situation if they have to kite adds losing SoW might be a huge problem. But why would cleric, enchanter, rogue, etc. ever need jboots?

Jboots are great on anyone that can't sow themselves and don't want to be bothered making / buying pots. 1 inventory slot and you never have to worry about travel at normal run speed ever again.

Not sure what the math is on green teal for when J-boots pay for themselves...but I did the sow pot thing for a while and one day said "fk this" and bought me a full MQ for 5k. Worth.

jboots are better than sow pots as its a junk buff and insta speed. every person in a top guild should have them as they should be ready to step up and kite when needed. lots of mobs dispell in raid zones so you need to be able to click them back on and also protect your buffs.

rooted? pumice that shit and spam your jboots to get moving again instantly.

mob dispelling? spam those jboots to protect the rest.

everyone competitive should have them with the exception of shamans in kunark since they get insta sow boots as part of epic line.
