View Full Version : Is level 37 far ahead of the curve on Green?

I am burning out doing 3 - 4 hours a night and more on weekends, but I keep telling myself if I let up I will lose the advantage of being ahead of the bottleneck that seems to be a big problem at the lower levels (all the stories of overcamping and such).

What is the average level at these days?

Oh man you're only 37? You need to be logging in every chance you get to stay a bit ahead. Otherwise that curve is going to catch up to you, and then this will become a chore that you resent instead of a game you enjoy.

Yesterday I tried out a battlesword gym to mix it up instead of my usual OCR gym. Maybe you can mix up the grind with something :p

Your doin good in levels tho

Well the idea was to put in the time now when the upper levels are less crowded and your hours spent in game are going farther. Currently I can log in and reliably exp in high zem zones for 3 - 4 hours at night. Some people are reporting they spend that long just running around looking for a group in the lower ranges still.

Yep can confirm I've been struggling on my warrior at the lower levels, its still fun once you get a group but the LFG time is kinda shitty.

I only have time to play once every 2 or 3 days for 3-4 hours tops. Like 6-8 hours a week give or take. I'm only level 15. You're probably doing fine at 37.

You need to check yourself before you wreck yourself.

If this is a real post, you need to re-evaluate your dedication to this game...and it is just a game.

You do know there are level 50s already right? Being 37 currently isn't exactly hardcore, lol.

I wasn't referring to his level, but rather his mentality.

I dunno, grind it out a few weeks and save potentially months of congested slog seemed like a reasonable plan.

You are SOL for premier camps. needed to be 37 two weeks ago.

To the point of burn out, as he states? This 20 year old elf simulator really has some people by the balls.

That's fair. The point of feeling burnout is different for different people.

Sperging through the first 50 levels and blowing through all the content in a month seems like the ideal play when you're going to have another 12 months before the level cap is upped to 60 and a new expansion is introduced.

Blame the server split.

going slower means you will be able to roleplay better ( win EQ ) rather than roll a bunch of nuerotic alts ( split personality disorder )

The fire is in my pants. I lost my pants in Lguk.

Blame the server split.

I interpreted this as him being unable to find a group due to overpopulation.

Level 26 here, I'm having a blast finding random groups in guk and najena. Sounds like you're not having a good time, what's the point?

I am, just getting burned out. Think it’s time to crank up my casual dial.

Don't kill the game for yourself. It's not a race to anyone other than nolifers. Enjoy the journey. I managed to get to lvl 4 by doing nothing but quests. Them nerfing quests made it a little slow, ok, a lot slower. Quests are something i didn't really do 20 years ago.

you are keeping yourself in the bracket that most people are in, that gets you more groups but more competition for everything

whats the hurry anyways?

Sounds like you should slow down a bit but hey do what you like my friend

Of course, the level you have depends on the race/class combination you chose. Some have been much slower than others.
