It was absolutely needed. At one point there was more than 6000 people on Green. The game was just to made for 600 people. Finally the first two weeks have come an gone. People have gone back to their lives and their playtime is shrinking. I sucks for me who plays between like 12-2 but I wont deny that it was a net benefit for most people.

I started on green day 2 and highest I saw was like 2200 maybe 2400 on day 3 that sunday.

Since the split tho its hard to find groups outside of the major xp veins and most people just wanna solo.

Green is the opposite of dead, there are over 1,000 online as of this post, and the split occurred 9 days after launch.

But on actual topic the teal server rocked this weekend! Numbers were much better as I saw 700+ when i logged in. At one point I want to say it was 1100 green, 800 teal and 400 I think on blue.

Good numbers for both green and teal as it strikes a decent balance of players to group with without too much overcrowding.

most ppl arent even home from work yet in the majority of the US, those numbers arent bad unless most the ppl that play on these servers are unemployed, not even 4 pm central times atm, either way 500-1000 ppl is a good size for a server, anymore then that and you end up with a clusterfuck at endgame even for casuals, already got these zerg guilds on both servers thinking they are good when all they do is throw a huge body of players at a mob, REAL classic raid guilds only had a full raid plus maybe 4-5 players to replace any of the main raiders who couldnt make it, i can definitely tell by the raiding scene on p99 that most the raiders on this server were the classic rejects that couldnt get in any of the big raiding guilds blasting out server firsts or even server 2s/3s/etc
