I wish to tell the tale of the epic Rangers Fayshot and Lartanin. As i emerged from Akanon, i heard the dreaded shouts over the land of Steamfont. The Minotaurs had found a Hero, and he was decimating all who would oppose Meldrath.
A call came out from Fayshot for assistance. I chuckled, knowing that the Minotaur was Mighty, and a Ranger of the 7th season had no chance. I finished inscribing my new lvl 20 spells. Knowing that I also stood no chance against the Hero, and hoping I did not cross his path, as my soul was bound to the Ocean of Tears, and the weeping would be great if I found myself there without my worldly possessions, I cautiously made my way to the Windmill to acquire some supplies of the Tinkerers trade.
The shout came out again for assistance, and that he had engaged the beast... This won't be long (I thought to myself) and made some fishing poles, as I was to return to the Ocean soon.
Again the shout came! He was still alive, and the beast was chasing him, but he had the blessing of the wolf upon him, and would not be daunted. My curiosity was piqued. He was near the Fay forest. Worst case, if things went banana shaped, I could duck into there and lose the foul beast! I packed my belongings and headed down the trail towards the sound of battle.
Fayshot had truly enraged the beast. A cloak of red fluttered on his back and 1000 arrows stuck out from the face of the monster. Lartanin nimbly dove in and out, slashing at the beast flanks. The beast was half dead already, but still he persisted. I summoned my pet and sent him to join the fray. They circled and circled for 20 minutes. As they drew near, I would cast on the beast, but to no avail. My pet was making a dent however, and continued the fight.
Then a moment of panic on the young Ranger's face. The spirit of the wolf had chosen the worst time to depart. He slowed, and I was certain his demise was near, but he knocked two arrow, and plunged them into the eyes of the beast!
Blinded, and nearly dead, the beast turned and began to make his way for the safety of the mines... Safety he would never find.
The rangers and the little elemental sprung upon his back and slashed with all of their might, and the beast was brought low.
And this is the story of how a 7th and 11th season Ranger, and a 20th season Mage, ended the terror of the Minotaur Hero!
Congrats to Fayshot, wear your bracer with pride! The Archers Vow should be proud to call you and Lartanin one of their own!
