I know there's been some recent discussion on this, but I'm still unclear. At the kobold camps in Steamfont, can a single player claim that all six spawns are a single camp? I had the following interaction (attached below) with the player Samiotis this evening, and would like some clarity.

Thanks.

Question, a group of 6 basically can have 6 mobs outside, right?

Hmm.. I was under the impression that if all those spawns are near each other it’s one camp (several kobolds surrounding a tent for example) so they can technically hold it.. if the mobs are spaced apart then then they are single spawns and can’t all be camped. Any word from the GMs?

You're using your live mentality. This is P99. These rules were forged in the crucible of lawyerquest from 10 years of blue.

Don’t be a D bag if someone’s holding down all the kobolds go to one of the other multiple kobold camps in the zone instead of trying to lawyer them out... if all the kobold camps in the zone are taken try goblin or bandit camps in BB if all of those are taken try CB or bandit camp in gfay if all of those are taken(highly highly unlikely even on launch day) kill wandering mobs somewhere lock down there spawn points and just mow them down as they pop.

In outdoor zones one person can hold one spawn.

I was able to solo those camps at level 8, but it just wasn't worth the hassle because every 30 seconds someone would either come by and ask to join my group or sit around and try to snipe a spawn. I just moved to the mino area and got into groups there.

While your not technically wrong, it's a dick move to basically come and steal someone's camp.

Seeing the kind of shit the GMs have to deal with, where you are instantly petitioning a GM to be able to steal a camp, makes me appreciate their patience a lot more. And they do this shit for free.

Toxic play is toxic play, even if it's technically inside the bounds of the rules.

One could say hogging a multi spawn camp to themselves on an insanely populated server is the dick move.

Two sides to a coin and all.

Though the way OP handled everything is on Lulsec levels of autism, so there's also that.

Rules or no, if a single player can clear and hold a camp, I just move on. I might think they're a greedy asshole on such a congested server, but I'm not going to try and take it from them.

I usually do this too. But realizing the state of the server why not let the guy have a single spawn, or better yet, invite into group! (Crazy talk, I know.)

It's like when I hold down Oggok guards, someone comes along I offer up a chunk of them. They already have the right to several if they wanted but many observe the unofficial camp rules. So then, when I go there and someone is there, they reciprocate and I realize that not everyone on this server are selfish assholes when it comes to pixel targets. And we can all get along.

Community, yah know?

May not be the official rule but I completely agree. If they are keeping them down I ask if I can join. If no then I move on or log onto another character.
