Classically it came in September 1999. Not sure whether it's coded up here.

I didn't know dots did full damage on moving mobs at launch.

Green 1.0 is a very good classic simulation on the content side, needs work on the code/mechanics side, but that's understandable, one is harder than the other.

So 2 months?

Everquest released in March 1999, so 6 months.

Yeah the big nerf as I like to think about it is the 6 month one, iirc its everything from guise to boots to manastone to dots to sol ro? This true dolain?

When it comes to "exploits", there's no predicting what will happen, because the staff decides some "exploits" are game-breaking ones that need to be fixed unclassically, and other ones are "classic features".
This one seems to be in the "it's an exploit but the P99 team likes it, so they won't nerf it (ie. feature)" category, and so it seems like it will get fixed in about 6 months ... but again, tomorrow Nilbog could be like "it's not classic, it's an exploit", and there seems to be no way whatsoever to predict what he'll decide on any particular exploit/feature.

What are you even talking about? There's nothing about an exploit here.
Idk how people manage to bring "SeLeCtIveLy ClAsSic" into every topic.

Um sort of. September 13 patch was a big nerf patch for dot classes and pet classes.
Guise wasn't nerfed until later though, I want to say December-ish? I can't remember all these dates by heart :D

Has anyone actually tested it tho?
I get the feeling — completely anecdotal from some kills — moving and not feared does lower DOT damage currently.

That's my suspicion too. But no I haven't tested it personally.
I don't think many (or any) of the mechanics changes during vanilla are coded yet.

It's hard to test cus they took away our dot messages lol

Seems like you worked really hard to wedge your agenda rant in here.

Are you sure green doesn't already have this? I don't think my snared mobs are taking full ticks of DoT dmg if they aren't feared.

exactly this
Higher necros or shamans should be able to tell with Poison dot, has a high tick dmg.
