i play a pally on green but havent grouped since this weekend just mainly soloing, gets kinda tiring joining a group and having to listen to ppl bitch in EVERY group ive joined about my hybrid penalty

You've been bitching about this stuff since months before the Green server launched. Just play the game. You're free to demand no hybrids but as I stated to you months ago, eventually people just won;t group with you. I don't see how someone so worried about hybrids grouping with them didn't roll a solo class.

I never really understood the obsession with trying to level as quickly as possible. Did this mentality come from the WoW folk? Are you guys trying to get server firsts or something?

Classic is here for over a year. Just enjoy the ride. Before you know it you'll be bored to tears from having nothing to do.

I ask this question constantly. Why did this become so important? I clearly understand that leveling up is practically the name of the game, but what made EQ separate from other games was the fact that everyone was playing to group up and have a good time.

I just think it's the younger crowd from games like WoW. I hope they understand that there isn't much to do after you hit max level.

There's no endgame without hybrids in classic so they will regret the mindset eventually. ;)

Especially with tanks. Before Kunark and Velious the hybrid tanks hold aggro a good deal easier than a warrior.

I enjoy fast rides. Did in classic live too. Especially since there isn't actually an "end" to the ride. Hitting max level doesn't end the game by any stretch. Different strokes for differe... you get the idea.

Nobody is trying to be unhappy, some people just can't wrap their heads around other people enjoying different things than they do.

You're being dense. Different people like different things. Things don't suddenly become important that weren't important before. You just didn't realize that some people did prioritize these things earlier because you weren't paying enough attention. Since day 1 of EQ, there have been people who wanted to level faster, get better gear, etc.

Saying there's not much to do at max level in EQ is as idiotic as saying there's not much to do until you hit max level. In both cases, the extent of what you can do in game is MUCH more limited by the brain of the player than by the mechanics of the game. You don't have to enjoy minmaxing gear, grinding plat, raiding, powerleveling friends or randos, working on factions, exploring, undertaking personal or other challenges, grouping with folks who still need exp even though you aren't earning any more, etc. But don't claim those things aren't there or aren't reasonable things for someone to do if they so choose just because YOU don't want to do them.

I was stating in reference to the amount of content there is in WoW at end game. I thought you would have understood that by the fact that it is right after my statement about WoW but, perhaps English isn't your first language so I will be understanding of that.

SK is barely 3% of the population in the server, chance of that happening is slim.
Due to the severe hybrid exp penalty, which was taken out back in the days after Brad's team realize it was a mistake.
