I think combine weapons are going to be the job, my warrior buddy has saved up 10 plat by level 8, so if we scrimp and save we should be able to get him a Combine 2HS from the gypsies in NK soon. Gnoll Hide Lariats are going to be accessible soon as well in Qeynos-

It's not too bad in my experience. Gnolls have been non-stop perma camped which is a bummer. I found a bunch of the fur on vendors, and for the rest I ran around buffing the people who were fighting gnolls and asked them if they had any for sale. Everyone just gave what they had to me since it vendors for so little.

20-100pp from dagger to two handed sword. they all have a great resale value except the great staff iirc.

If you have a bard with drum you might be able to do a blood forge two handed hammer (its a dangerous run qeynos to butcherblock) and then transfer it to the toon you want.

Just grind those 500 pieces of cloth armor for a combine longsword imho.

There is a quest in toxx that give you a chance at a magic piercing weapon but there is probably faster way to get 1 elsewhere.

Gypsy's always have combine weapons for sale for the right coin.

In your mid to upper teens you can get an orc group in Highpass, Shiny Brass Halberd (wiki.project1999.com/Shiny_Brass_Halberd) isn't too rare and it's a respectable weapon for awhile (much better than Bloodforge Hammer). Can also get some nice WR bags (Shralok Pack (http://wiki.project1999.com/Shralok_Pack)). Big upgrade to backpacks.

Of course there's also Polished Granite Tomahawk (http://wiki.project1999.com/Polished_Granite_Tomahawk) nearby also but that's a bit rarer than the Halberd.

I grouped with a guy with Fang of the Wolf last night, so it can't be too bad. Ratio is slightly better than a Giant Snake Fang and it's magic, so it'll last you awhile. Especially if you're a rogue.

Rangers can quest Jaggedpine Crook around level 5 (gnoll hunters seem rare here though).

Seem to be a lot more options beginning around mid-teens like Gladius/Pugius from Unrest.

Crookstinger is an option too. Drops from the rare in lfay. I camped it last night and got it in about 3 hours or so, could have got lucky.
Placeholders are the other wasps in zone. I found two spawns close to South edge of zone, both on a timer of about 5mins. I just camped them non stop until I got him to spawn. Best part is that the dagger is 100% drop rate once you get him.
Placeholders are lvl 4-6 according to wiki. Crookstinger is lvl 8.
