Bad day to play Green?

While I love the excitement that the game is getting for launch, I'm thinking this is actually going to be a bad day to play on Green. Every notable starting area will be camped so heavily that it will look like the DMV and every mob will be a corpse on the ground.

Is it better to just skip today and start playing tomorrow? Or maybe next week? :confused: Don't really care much for getting world first in leveling.

Just manage your expectations. It will be a shit show, so login and play only to witness the shit show. Don't expect productive leveling for a while.

Not by choice, but I'm not going to get to start really playing until Monday next week. I'm perfectly fine with this due to the reasons you mentioned though. I don't expect there will be many places to actually go and exp for quite a while. Actually concerned about the entirety of classic to be honest.

The official TLP servers use an instance system for all zones, and it's not uncommon to see 10+ instances of the popular zones during the first few months. How P99 is going to handle similar population levels without this system is a concern of mine for sure.

I'm really hoping it just forces people to spread out and utilize the less popular zones. That would be fantastic as I'd love to spend zero time in Unrest since I've been there thousands of times.

Oh, Boy. Everfrost starting area is gonna be so boring. 6 mobs within a 2 minute run and about 105 people competing for them.

They will have an 80% spawn time reduction in news areas to get people out the gate faster it was in on beta as well. Hope this helps you reconsider

I read something about them reducing the respawn delay (in the newbie zones) by 80%, so if a mob used to spawn in 5 minutes it will now spawn in 1 minute. I think that should help a lot.

That said, I think it will be fun to be a part of this launch on the server. I enjoy a little chaos from time to time.

That's why i'm gonna create my erudite necro before wood elf druid gfay gonna be hell for some time. Certain starting zones should be better then others though. Misty comes to mind inno and feerrott too because of hybrid penalty but I could be wrong.Steamfont also should be more manageable.

The entire warrior min/max, shaman min/max, and at least half of all total SK players will be rolling troll/ogre, I wouldn't expect much better in the swamps.

Wasps are the real unsung heroes of the newbie areas. Venom sacks aren't as valuable as a cracked staff, but they still vendor for a couple gold.

That said, I won’t be stepping foot in GFay anytime soon, especially with a non-caster. Really difficult to tag mobs with a dagger...

Lots of running around looking for a mob, people trying to snatch whatever they can is what I have seen so far :) Hopped off myself and I will wait for it to calm down a bit. I expect it to drop fairly substantially quickly and level out to those that really plan to stick around.

For anyone wondering what it's like on Green right now, people are literally camping single mob spawn points since there's so few mobs lol. Then they are getting KSed and freaking out as though the spawn point of a Bat is a camp lol

Yeah, not ideal lol. Especially since there are some people who have found the spawns like skeles and wasps (venom glands sell for 3 GP apiece) and are just camping them

Yep, and MM will be at least 4 full groups camping the pond area.

I know they said they increased the spawn rate, they should just increase it 10 times and watch everyone panic as they get overwhelmed by skeles
