Blue / Green character names

Hi,

I made a character a few weeks back on Blue, I can make a character with the same name on Green.

I made a character on Blue today, my characters name is rejected when I try make a character with the same name on Green.

Is they name functionality only meant to work for old characters? Or will this reset when beta is wiped?

Green doesn't exist yet. Green Beta is not relevant as it uses a different database so tomorrow afternoon you should have no problem making your Blue characters on Green.
