I noticed classic p99 spell list says clerics don't get revive till level 30? Some sites show getting revive at level 12. What is the final answer on this? NO res till 30 is HARDCORE

They get their first rez at 29 but it gives no experience back.
To be honest you dont get your first big boy rez until 39

Glad we're being honest here. Always gotta be wary of subterfuge in threads like this.

People will thank you for that level 29 rez. You will get exclamation marks when you ask folks if they want Revive when their choice is wasting good time waiting for a proper rez or getting back into the action right now.

AND 96% rez isn't until Kunark...at level 56....and hardly anyone will have epics for a long time, even after they are implemented which isn't the same time as Kunark starts. Eating a death and just going back to the grind will be very common on green. Enjoy!

29 rez is great if your MILES away or balls deep in a dungeon. If you can get back in <5 mins dont bother though. 4 mins of rez sickness sucks, then you have to med to full.
Sometimes easier (if practically possible) to just loot your body rather than accept a revive.
If your in lower guk then revive is a god send to be fair.

And people around here have been claiming "we'll all know thr game like the back of our hand" this time around.
Gonna be so many noobs around it'll actually feel close to 1999 first day.

I think it'll be great if the Green attracts a lot of truly new players, but I'm not optimistic about that. We'll see though, would be a nice surprise.

There won't be a bunch of BRAND new players. But they'll be returners who haven't played on blue in a long time, and there will be people who only played on live back in the day, and there will be people who are more recently from live and want to check out the classic era that's not on an official TLP server, etc.
Many of those people will be nearly as nooby as a day 1 noob. Like the OP who was looking at live EQ websites and wondering if they're accurate for green and who didn't know how the shuttle-boat in Erudin worked.
I don't meant to rag on OP or on these guys, just an observation. Lots of p99 folks like to parrot around the "20 year old game PvE LOL SO EASY" but that's coming from the perspective of the people who have been playing on blue for the last decade. There will be plenty of people on green who will be nearly as wide-eyed and ignorant of zones/mobs/mechanics/classes/etc as they would have been 20 years ago.
I feel like I forget half the game every time I stop playing for a year or more. I'm sure it will be the same for a lot of people coming back after long inactive periods and playing something they haven't played before.

I think it'll be worst for people who come here from live. It's one thing to forget a bunch of stuff from early blue, or from classic live, and then try to pick it back up on green. Or to approach this for a first time in 2019 knowing it's an ancient, quirky game but wanting to try it out.
It'll be another beast entirely trying to hop into a game with the same name as one you're a pro on on live servers and not know how to find your guildmaster on green because there's no ingame maps, compass, visibility, magical lines leading you where you need to go... then you get killed by a level 1 mob after spending 5 minutes trying to find one that isn't already engaged and reappear at your bind without even your newbie weapon.

I hope to god that there is a youtube video of this happening on Friday...

I am def a newb when it comes to CLassic EQ. I started back in the day when kunark was about to release and then later on played a couple tlp's but the classic content isn't the same on tlps. I even forgot that you only get spells every 4 levels. I was a teenager when I first played EQ so memory not the greatest.

No worries. Approach it for what it is, trying to figure out a quirky, old game that has been reconstructed by a small team of volunteers and played by a bunch of classic EQ fanatics over the last decade who have been frothing at the mouth for the green server for half that time... and just try to do your thing that's fun for you.
https://wiki.project1999.com/ will be a goldmine of usually-accurate info about things on green for you.
