Was derping around on beta this evening and heard a rumor of level 51s running around on the server. Did a /who all and saw at least two players above 50
GMs?
Exploiters?
Level cap not set correctly?
Enquiring minds want to know.

It was just a "flag" not properly set, they haven't done the final review of such flags yet apparently.

How many days?
Will it take 10x longer because of the exp bonus on green not being there?

Not quite 10x longer. Even with the 10x xp per mob bonus, we were still running into the usual "exp per kill" cap.

Yeah 10x from this long seems like way way way too long, I would have bet around now would be the classic rate to get to 50 for p99ers

I kept /who 30-40ing for a day or two and it took forever! I was like damn I woulda thought 30's on a normal exp flow.
I actually as a Ranger on beta felt like the xp rate was.. I know, people will think im nuts, normal! I thought nothing unusual was happening with the bar.. but then I realized as I got higher, taking on very low blues, the rate was the same, so it was that cap that was misleading me.

I feel like the increased competition for spawns and rules might make it more than 10x what it took on beta.
However I could be mistaken, and there could be Raid Boss level, Super Saiyan Blue Neckbeards that didn’t even try to level up during the beta that’ll completely blow this record out of the water with leet strats and beadpans at the ready.

we'll be in classic for a year so theres not really a rush considering almost all classic gear becomes irrelevant in kunark so if you cant get god items in time some mediocre kunark gear will be just as good
just enjoy the ride, we've waited a long time for this

I say one week MAX til we have the first round of level 50s. Their toons will be played 24/7 in shifts and once they break free from the pack-majority they'll little-to-no competition for mobs.
That may be difficult for the opening weekend, w the server launching on a Friday. However, by Monday morning they'll be well ahead of the pack for sure.
My aim is level 25-30 by Sunday night, but again, competition for mobs may render that a pipe-dream.
Regardless the hype is REAL now. I'm intentionally NOT playing Beta cuz I don't wanna spoil myself. Haven't played P99 in several years during which time I was checking the forums weekly for a fresh-server announcement!

I'm willing to bet 10pp that the highest level after a full week will barely be in the 30's. In classic even people who exploited took at least 7 to 10 days played if I remember correctly. 40+ is where it really gets slow because of a lack of mobs.
IMO it's good beta practice to let the kunark loot drop and people lvl to 51. What's it hurt? Just lets them see whether those things are working, gives an opportunity for more stuff to get tested. If by some fluke the live Green server did let people level to 51, you can bet they'd knock them down to 50.99 in a hurry, and I'm pretty sure they'd make sure the toons' skills got knocked down to the 50 cap as well.

40+ is where it really gets slow because of a lack of mobs.
The first round of level 50s will be toons that are played 24/7 in shifts. I don't expect more than MAYBE a couple handfuls of these groups of characters. Remember they won't need to logout, even to sleep, so they'll manage to pull ahead of the next-closest group of levelers (the hardest-core single-person-per-toon players) Sunday night at the latest. At this point they'll be the only groups competing in the level 30+ range.
It less than way 200 hours /played to reach lvl 50 in a full group (let alone the soldiers) when you discount competing for mobs. Even in a fresh-server setting as these groups will all have multiple Mages with a Cleric and an Enchanter.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Naggy die as early as weekend two (assuming enough tanks are power-leveled in these full-time leveling groups)
Ironically it'll be the more casual players who end up leveling in the most competitive environment while the already-50s farm stuff like Hill Giants, Eboots, FBSS etc.

Well.. . We DO need people testing the game at all leveling ranges to check for proper mob health, dps, spawns, spells, drops etc etc
