Everyone is getting burnt out over still using core class spells that are anywhere from 4 to 9 levels out of date.

Can you elaborate? The main reason that everybody can't keep up with their spells on green beta is the fact that we are gaining levels at a ridiculous rate. It will still be not super easy to buy "ALL" spells but when the 10x XP bonus is lifted, it should take you longer to level and thus you should have more coin to buy spells.

Honestly, this is probably the biggest reason that I'm not playing on green beta right now. My shaman has gotten up to level 14 and so far I've been able to afford level 1 spells, 3 level 5 spells, and 2 level 9 spells. And I really don't want to spend hours grinding level 5 green mobs on the beta server to buy spells.

Yeah. I think I am going to get level 8 on my necro, buy Gather Shadows and run around and try to find some bugs. This leveling is way too fast.

Levelling is going to take a lot longer meaning more cash between levels as well as combat skills if needed.

Everybody understands that, we're talking about right now during the beta. I want to play the beta to help test things, but my level 14 shaman is running around using level 5 spells...

I would say its a good idea that would allow for more extensive bug testing, particularly wrt spell issues if people were able to afford a fuller spellbook.

If you up the drop rate on cracked staffs on decaying skeletons in starting cities, you'd have more monies.

Currently, no Cracked Staffs drop. Drop Rate worse than manastone.

I would do a 100 plat give away. one in qeynos and one in freeport. Only for players over level 10. just show up at (pre)announced time, hand beta testers 100 plat.

Currently, no Cracked Staffs drop. Drop Rate worse than manastone.

I saw a cracked staff on a merchant in Qeynos, someone got 1 :)

I was using mine from level 3-6, then I sold it to afford my healing song and bought a rusty axe. They drop, but when you level to 5 off 50 skeletons instead of 500, they will be rarer.

Rabid wolf kill(lvl 3-5)= 2 plat (2spawns in Qeynos hills 80 sec respawn)
Double farmer camp in (lvl 4-5)WK = drop bandit sashes can turn in for 3-8pp
Bandits WK/NK/EK(lvl 7-12) = see above + drop bronze weapons
Willowisps NK/erud xing(lvl 9-12) = drop Lightstone and GLS 1-9pp per
Nybright camp in lfay(lvl 9-12?) = drop bronze weapons + vendor less than 45 secs away.

You can farm 150pp or more at any of these camps in under an hour or so on a sub lvl 15 toon hope this helps

Ogre SK lizard meat quest gives a 2 handed that sells for 2 gold+ at lv 5 as a shaman I could buy all my level 5 spells I wanted and 2 medicine bags. *shrug*

I killed over 15 wisps and only got 2 regular lightstones. according to you I should have ~75 pp. Strangely only have 4pp.

Edit: wisps money can vary due to RNG drop rate, bandits more reliable money
One Lightstone = 1pp
One GLS = 9pp

How many of these you get is RNG duh

L6 druid, I've seen exactly one drop.

Ya i'm sure the sisters are camped to hell. And getting to the WK is a pain in the ass for most people, especially if they can't freaking bind and can't even afford the bind spell in the first place.

The diseased pelt quest is also not supposed to be awarding 2 plat. it's supposed to be awarding a random level 1 cleric spell.

So here's the deal. Fast levelling is not the mighty boon to a new server that people think it is. Because of the skill system, the spell system and crappy armor actually mattering in green, there is a delicate balance between your power-push to 50 and actually gaining what you need from the PVE experience to sustain yourself at 50.

Spells aside, have a lovely time levelling defense on blue mobs at 50....

You shouldn't be able to buy everything as soon as you hit the level without planning. There are tradeoffs. Makes the game interesting.

This is true in the real game, but in a beta with 10x experience, it changes things.

You understand what "core spells" are right? We aren't supposed to be "making the game interesting" in beta either, it's about finding out what's broken/bugged/exploitable.
