Great question.
I don't understand the arbitrariness of keeping class % penalty but NOT keeping the blind-meditation with spellbook.
Justification for classic class % penalty: Hybrid classes are/may be overpowered.
VERDICT: They're not -- get rid of it.
P99: Keep it.
Justification for blind-meditation with spellbook: immersion, price casters pay for being so versatile/useful, and it made them need to rely on others.
VERDICT: Not worth it -- get rid of it.
P99: Get rid of it.
Personally, I'd like either both or none. Why keep something known as a QoL issue that doesn't make sense by devs after-the-fact based on their false assumptions of power balancing? Given that EVERYONE is rolling a caster, wouldn't this meditate rule actually help give warriors, rogues, and monks a bump?
