Ivandyr's Hoop
This item has caused an inbalance in the raid game, and as such we have made some changes. In addition to a global resist increase to all lifetap spells, Ivandyr's Hoop has had it's rarity slightly increased, it has had it's merchant value removed (it can not be sold or recharged to merchants), and it will be disabled in Veeshan's Peak. We will evaluate if further changes need to be made.

Recharging is not the issue. Infact Recharging is keeping prices down overall. I did not list the reaper ormallet for that reason. And until the devs ever decide to add an ingame Casino like they did on Luclin (PP to Tokens, Tokens to Gamble for no-longer-dropping items) Eventually many of the current stuff was phased out by AAs or CH not making a dent in players health.

It is so depressing seeing a high level in highpass camping the orcs when only a few years ago there was a group always there.
Sad as fuck seeing high levels sock fucking Lucan for a soulfire. and the following server side spam "x got 5chs for today"

This server is no newcomer to "non classic" stuff, but does look out for the servers long term health.

There's (mostly) a method to their madness. Basically, their default stance is "classic mechanics", ie. P99 should work the way the live servers worked in '99.

It might seem like they ignore that default stance randomly, but if you pay attention they make exceptions to it for only three reasons (that I'm aware of), all of which are essentially out of their control because of real world limitations:


Technical issues: stuff like the improper implementation of endurance/stamina or the lack of night blindness in human/human-derivative races is a limitation of the Titanium client, which they can't fix
Legal issues: two-boxing isn't allowed because limitless two-boxing wasn't allowed on live servers. Paid two-boxing was allowed, but P99 can't charge for legal reasons, so they have to prevent two-boxing entirely or else it would get extremely un-classic fast.
Support issues: in theory things like the 25-mob limit represent the crappy Internet most people had back in '99, and that probably helped the devs make the decision, but I think a huge part of it was also support time. Whenever one particular issue starts eating up a huge amount of support time, the devs seem to be willing to compromise (in small ways) the "classic vision" in order to make it so the all-volunteer support team can actually support the server


But otherwise, they stick to classic mechanics ... except on ZEMs. The unclassic P99 ZEMs are the one exception I'm aware of: they don't fit any of the above categories, yet the staff keeps them unclassic anyways, ostensibly because it gives a more classic feel. But as far as I know that's the only "classic environment over classic mechanics" decision they've ever made (and they made it so long ago I kind of suspect that if it came up today they might make a different decision, just because it's so anomalous with everything else in the project).

So yeah, the way I see it they're actually extremely consistent with their implementation of classic mechanics ... to the point where they even have an exception (ZEMs) which "proves the rule".

P.S. Many people think item linking is another exception. I'm not sure if it's a technical limit or not, but even if it isn't I still don't think it's an exception for another reason: it's a support issue. Item links can help prevent some scams that would eat up CS time, so whether the staff can remove them or not, I believe they're desired for saving CS time.

I've never seen a group sitting there or seen Sir Lucan up any time I've entered West Freeport since I started playing again this month. And I check every time. But okay.

If you REALLY wanted the soulfire and were ready to kill Lucan tho you would already have parked a lvl 1 toon in there overnight to log his spawn time so you could get your group together for the next kill. I don't think you're hungry enough for it.

I dont think you realize how bad lvl 45 is for Paly to get through.

Probably worse hell level til you hit 54, then its real bad to 60.

I just did a test run and the only file in that log folder was titled "dbg" and the timestamp was from 2015.

Also, Paladin epic is not easy. Unless you're buying the MQs, which aren't readily available, you're going to have to start putting in some slight effort and doing a bit of raiding to make friends and get the kills.

Thanks for the PC. Part of why I wasn't searching EC ahead of time was because I had no idea how much such a thing would sell for. I didn't want to get scammed.

Now that I have the spawn timer and a PC I at least have something to work with.

Any idea on how much a Book of Scale sells for? I think the last I saw 3 years ago was 22-25k but idk how pertinent that is.

Resetting should work if nothing else does - on your options window, go to the "keys" tab and use the drop down menu.
