Just got robbed of AC in SRo

whats the rules on this? i was there killing anything that could remotely be a PH for hours. and i noticed a druid popping in at 8pm leaving at 10pm. finally had him spawn, my pet confirmed it with kill command, but as a slow SK i hadnt even ran over the first hill and the druid got him. i got his name and screenshots, but i dont want to call him out if its pointless.

Yep, the way this spawn is set up, there really isn't a PH you can kill to speed up the process. AC either spawns at 9PM or he doesn't. At that point, it's just a matter of who engages first. So you can feel a little better that he wasn't taking advantage of your hard work.

Druids have a huge leg up for this spawn as they can just pop in at 8PM and track for him. Bards also do extremely well, though they can't just port in and out as easily.

In a perfect world, people would only camp this mob if they themselves need jboots, but MQs are big money in these parts and everyone likes money.

I hate to tell you buddy, there is no ph for S Ro. Your efforts were in vain. At 9pm a pop happens that has a 10 % chance to be an ancient cyclops.

To reiterate there are no oh, just show up just before 9pm and hope clops spawns close enough to you to snag fte.

The tl;dr is that AC in SRo is non-classic and there are no PHs. So there's nothing you can do, your info was off.

You can camp it in OoT, though.

P-something. He, a few years ago after EQ Live changed SRO AC, divulged how the original spawn worked. Pravon? Ugh... That's not right.

Nilbog: Rewrote South Ro Ancient Cyclops script. He now only spawns at night with definitive spawn % chances. Previously only spawning in one location, the AC now will be random in the desert area.
