Wait what? Lol. You must've missed the AM members posting multiple RnF threads about how this will be the end of the server as we know it. How every guild will be affected negatively by this and all the "healthy competition" is gone forever. You must've missed every possible excuse AM has brought up to change the GMs' minds, even to the point of calling this the worst decision ever. Oh lawd, all the veterans of the server will leave because of this!

Or as Hibbs brought up, when AM realized their whining and cries for help were falling on deaf ears and blind eyes, they "threatened" to poopsock the literal shit out of any mob not in ToV, just to show people they mean business.

Not to mention how much "love" AM shows when other guilds go from "healthy competition" to a suspended or dead guild.

Since you're someone who doesn't raid at all, I'm sure most guilds are generally seen as cool folks. Every guild has their bad apples of course, but once you get between certain guild's pixels, the lawyerquesting and asshattery begins.

4 Guilds competing in a coth race for Doze. Usually there is 2 (But competition is dead amitrite guys lol fuck aftermath).......... Yeah we won, but that was off the back of the Cother, FTEr, and Tagger. THE ZERG didn't help us win that mob.

This is a bad suggestion.. Competition needs to remain on this server. I don't even raid these zones in question, but man i'd be sad to find out everybody quit their guilds to join AM just cause they wanted loot.. To quit the competing guilds, and accept defeat for easy loot is not the classic way.. Competition needs to remain!

Hey, we want to compete, but we will invite everyone and everything that can press 1 button to starve other guilds the chance to compete.

Glad GMs are aware, and they are working on a fix. I hate rotations but at this point its more healthy then have to "compete" against a guild that fields 117+players and 90+players at like 4am EST for things you could easy kill with 30'ish.

Or, make a guild limit number? maximum of 200 players on roster? dunno.

Glad GMs are aware, and they are working on a fix. I hate rotations but at this point its more healthy then have to "compete" against a guild that fields 117+players and 90+players at like 4am EST for things you could easy kill with 30'ish.

Or, make a guild limit number? maximum of 200 players on roster? dunno.

When was the last time you claimed: Vulak, Doze, Yelinak, CT, King Tormax, etc in one rotation?

A year ago when I called AM a zerg people got mad. At the time we fielded around 60.
Now it's just a meme because we grew and have 100+ at prime time

More people in all guilds are raiding lately. I see more logging in from AG, 50+ in Sleepers the other day. Core/BG is growing. Server population is up.

Only way to fix the bottleneck is more quakes and shorter variance. Rooting the dragons too would tie up guilds longer on top targets.

If i'm saying it in ooc. I mean it. I'm not loot hungry. My monk is prettyyyy well geared. More than I ever imagined. I'm not foaming at the mouth trying to get upgrades...I log on because i genuinely have fun raiding. Tank and spank is boring. Getting the mobs into camp is the fun part.

I, personally, think the rotation idea is stupid. I have no problem with AM being FTE on most of the end-game content. You guys have a great pull team, good coordination, and you deserve what you get for the effort you put into it.

I'd say the only mob you could say we always win because of our guild size is AoW and Vyemm.

Today we killed a mob in ToV with 35, and a mob in VP with 20.

Yes, we're currently the biggest guild on the server.... But... our officers don't actively recruit. Are we dick heads for being more lenient than say, Rampage was, in terms of barrier of entry? That's a catch 22 scenario.

Bro. Feet to the fire about what? Yes, there were a few instances that I recall when people in our leadership felt like a ruling about a concession was unjust. However that wasn't a constant fucking theme. It was like.. a few times. Just like i'm sure people in Tempest weren't thrilled about conceding some mobs.

In fact, I know Sirken as the GM to pretttyyy much Guild Suspend Awakened out of existence. And we all knew that Tempest was going to be AwakendedLITE. So, from my own personal point of view, I never viewed Sirken as someone who favored Tempest over us. Last year, around this time, we literally had ToV to ourselves. Because Awakened was suspended. For breaking the rules. By Sirken.

Now? We have 4 guilds in ToV competing.

Start winning some of those targets consistently week to week, and have to work out concessions with them.

These dudes would befriend people in other guilds, screenshot their tells, and present them to staff in disputes out of context in order to win their lawyer quest.

Then they wonder why certain guilds remained quiet, because they lie so much, and have 0 shame (see Detoxx), its 100% a disadvantage to yourself by talking to them - because they are scheming literally 100% of the time.

500 people = There are 235 people on our active DKP page right now. AM requires 10% RA to bid on loot. 48 of those 235 are below 10%. So that puts us at around 187 active raiders.

You know what's the weirdest thing? Since Tempest died out (Which, after speaking to no less than 30 ex members, was due to Tempest being the most toxic environment they have every been apart of) Doze hasn't ran west because 5 mallet charges wasn't enough agro to pull it out of the train. One time. So strange.

Right side of history? I joined Aftermath 2 years ago. I can remember maybe... 3 cycles/Earthquakes that Aw/Temp beat us handily. And it's the most fun I have ever had in a guild. Our discord is hilarious. And in that 2 years, ya'll have been suspended/conceded a lot more than us. Soo, maybe it's anecdotal, but yeah I feel like I made the right choice.

4am batphone and i'm asleep? 100% of the time it doesn't effect me at all. I'm a deep sleeper. however, 4am EST is somewhere between 10am-1am for AT LEAST a fourth of our guild.

I don't want to be locked into superior gear status. I want to have fun raiding. I think the majority of our players feel the same way.

Social proof of wall staring? Most of us tab out and play other games, or at very least watch netflix on the other monitor. If other guilds weren't in our sandbox, we wouldn't have to stare at walls though. It would be like an instanced zone. Which is boring.

Now it's just a meme because we grew and have 100+ at prime time

More people in all guilds are raiding lately. I see more logging in from AG, 50+ in Sleepers the other day. Core/BG is growing. Server population is up.

Only way to fix the bottleneck is more quakes and shorter variance. Rooting the dragons too would tie up guilds longer on top targets.

I've said this in other places, but the availability of content on a non-instanced MMO like EQ follows a pretty simple formula:

Availability of content = (amount of content * time to complete each piece of content * number of players it takes to complete the content) / (playable hours between content respawn * number of players desiring the content)

The game developers can control how scarce the content is by manipulating any of the above. Making more content makes the content less scarce. Making the content take longer or take more players to complete also makes it less scarce. Reducing the respawn time of the content or reducing the number of players on a server (by adding more servers) also makes the content less scarce.

Ironically, the people complaining about Aftermath having a huge zerg would only see even LESS content if Aftermath was broken up into multiple guilds. If Aftermath brings 100+ people to content that can be done with 30, that's 70 people that would otherwise be killing some other piece of content if they were in a different guild. The fact that they're all in one guild and limited to one target at a time gives you a fighting chance on targets that would otherwise be getting downed by those 70 extra people.

You can't be a guild the size of Rustle and compete with the current raiding ruleset. With hour locks, yea it was possible. Now you need 40 on within minutes rather than half an hour. And yea won't disagree that Rustle got more pixels per player than AM..
