I am sure it was real hip hop, but that venue looks terrible. Lots of ceiling lights on, no strobes, confined area, is this at some high school gymnasium?

Looks like the people there never see a rapper before...

I rather congratulate you on having a good time than insult you on your experience, didn't realize it held significance to you.

I just personally enjoy club venues that have a darker ambiece to them and always found highly lit places less enjoyable.

Glad you had fun dude. :)

Because it was posted in RnF and blood is always in the water, naturally it drew sharks. I misunderstood OP's intentions posting it, and naturally had the urge to take a chunk out of it.

I think it should have been posted in off-topic, where people can share good feel pics with more friendly elfs.

OP, glad you enjoyed the night, still stand by original assessment of the venue.

Personally I like dark, dirty, strobe infested clubs with crazy dancing and a broad spectrum of different types of people populating the space.

Rock on dude.:p

Club of Strobe Lights

Should be a vanity reward weapon for the next event. Club has a clicky strobe light effect.

tonight i played civ 6 with my best friend and then did a few rbgs in WoW. I am now goign to sleep so I can work an extra day efficiently. I hope you had as much fun as I did! c u tomorrow at work.

Also pretty white, but in a slightly more rad way. Filbag!

Lulz, you know what, I think it is great that you and your friends are dipping into a cultural heritage that may be different to your own.

So you don't feel exposed, I'll offer my own tastes. Personally I used to like the Manchester club scene (there were lots of electronic, rock and urban options. Jilly's Rock World where they filmed 24 hr party people got turned into a Tesco now so shows I am out of touch with modern funs). Occasional jaunt to Canal Street of course mandatory.

I had good fun getting the train to Liverpool for Creamfields and coming back to Mancherster for the night for Pride when they clashed.

So yeah, mixed and varied experiences is the way forward, thanks for sharing. I'm feeling all nostalgic for my youth now :).

Jimjam, since we are sharing pictures and life experiences in the clubs, I will tell you how I acquired my taste of clubs and the type of ambience I still like to this day!

You know my early club life experiences began in Germany.

I first started going to clubs in Mannheim called The Milk and Ohm.

Both were underground dance clubs that looked to be at one time bomb shelters. The entrance of both lead down steps into a cavernous concrete room or rooms.

These two dance clubs were fairly unique as they both had DJs that spun what was called at the time breakbeat.

After about 6 months, the music started to change and begun to take on a much darker tone and the genre then started to be called "darkside."

The timing of this music turning darker coupled with my increased usage of "recreational" psychadelic tools of the mind created a period of my life I can't ever forget.

From the dancing, to the meeting of such interesting people through this underground dance scene my mind was truly opened wide beyond what I think would have been impossible had I not taken that path as a younger adult.

I was what you could call a pretty hardcore raver back then.

I don't live a life of that kind now, as I too grew up and older as you have Jimjam, but the experiences of my life so long ago forged much of how and why I think in the way that I do now.

This early part of my life taught me to be openminded towards others, and also to accept people of different lifestyles.

I ended up going to underground dance clubs all over Germany, easily my favorite ended up being in Frankfurt, a place called Omen which was way more dark in ambience than anything I had ever seen prior to that.

I will never forget the night DJ Pussylover played a live set at the Omen...

Omen also had a live drummer that would actually play with the music, and that added a whole other element to the sound in the club.

To put it simply, it was awesome!

My intention was not to brag about how socially active I am

It was more how pathetic I am for not being able to keep up with my forumquesting exp while waiting in queue
