Man, the hype is real. Everything Ive ever wanted out of EQ! (besides the monthly fee) I realize 2002 and PAK would be free but having 80 people online at prime time isnt exactly a populated server. Not only that. How hard would it be for Daybreak to toss them a cease and desist letter any time they wanted? Just too many "maybes"

I for one am super excited! SK/Sham combo here i come! Anyone else gonna be playing day 1?

The "fresh start" last for about 3 weeks. Starting week 4 (i'm being extremely generous even giving it this long) guilds will start raiding instanced Fear/Hate. From this point moving forward, there are no rusty weapon, there is no bronze armor. Fear gets cleared 50 times per day and there is more of a market for selling loot rights than selling actual gear. From playing on Phinny I realized instancing will kill the servers because soon as players get all the gear they want, there really is not point in playing.

Nope, it will be a piece of shit. Daybreak needs to recover from that atrocious investment. So everyone please keep overpaying for a 20 year old game when there are plenty emulators that carer to these needs. This server will have more transactions on redguides than p99.

With instancing I doubt the new TLP would appeal to the major raiding guilds on this server. I plan to give it a shot and still play on P99. To be honest I'd prefer a fresh P99 server over all the other options, as I am sad I will never get a pre-nerf guise of the deceiver here.
