After a long break from EQ...I come back to....

What is this?? I don't understand. I can't log on to the main server OR on to Red either. Says my account is in suspension..I didn't even play on the Red server. I can log on to the other servers where i have my other players still. What would cause a suspension on my account after taking a long break from the game. I had logged in once or twice quite a while back, a bit into my EQ break and was able to log in with no issues. So what could have possibly happened while my account wasn't even being used that would cause me to be suspended? I've never given out my account info, never let anyone else ever log onto or play any of my players, i've never broken any server rules. I don't understand this.
Than i post up about it in the petition thread and my petition isnt even being looked at, let alone responded to. This suspension doesn't seem very fair at all. what is this!?
This is crazy upsetting to me. I haven't been on EQ in a few years. Just got a new PC, was thinking about EQ alot lately for some reason and was really amped up to get back in the game, especially for Velious!

and like i said too. after a few months into my break away from EQ, I had logged in on my main just to mess around for a little bit and everything was fine, no issues, nothing. than after that i had been away for a few years, not logging back in untill a day ago, and between the last time i had logged in years ago up untill just yesterday my account wasn't being used at all. so for something to go down that would cause a suspension is just confusing to me.

No, not that i can remember. it's been quite a long time, so i can't remember that. I couldn't remember my login password when i had just came back either, i had to fix it and reset it on EQEMU.

Yeah, i mean if they could check and see what my account password was before i had just reset it, i'd be able to tell if someone had messed with my account. When i kept trying to login after coming back I couldn't. was trying all different passwords that i remembered and none of them worked so i had to reset it. my first thought was that it seemed kinda weird and was thinking that my account was possibly accessed by someone else.

nope. my girl has no interest in EQ, plus doesn't care about it. Even if she did, she would never do something petty like that anyway.

listen you dummy, dozens of people in your guild have been banned for RMT, if you ever made a trade with one, or just transferred items, you could be false flagged.

like 85% of TMO was suspended for a Duping exploit/probable RMT ring a few years back, you were probably hit for guilt by association.


As far as I know, the GM's unbanned most of the accounts eventually once they could determine if the players were involved in the cheating.

I don't know who Derupal is. I've been away from P99 for a few years. I don't even remember a 'Derupal' when i was playing. Whatever that TMO blanket ban was about, it's impossible for me to have been involved because I was MIA from EQ for years. And even when i was playing everyday non-stop, I mainly kept to myself on the game, unless i got a text for a raid mob or something like that.

Did you get it back?... you will if what you say is true, pretty sure it was mentioned in thread that some big ban waves happened and there was a lot of collateral bans iirc. Most people had little issue getting account back back then, will probably require some digging idk though.

Staying out of the way of the workload with proper petition in place and being patient is probably the best way to facilitate an effective recovery...

I came back after a few years of hiatus and had the same thing happen to me. Someone had stripped my beautiful Booter of all his droppables and likely RMT'd. Deru? Kinsawt? Who knows :D

It took a couple weeks but staff reimbursed me all of my items. The only thing they couldn't reimburse was actual plat.
