Naturia purposely trained me in Velks on Thanksgiving day, causing me to die and lose my level. Now, every time I see him I /rude him and he calls me a fag. It's like a permanent reminder that people can do evil things on P99 and walk freely among our society with zero consequences. I petitioned what he did to the P99 Staff but nothing happened. Without video evidence, nothing can be done, even though my screenshots clearly show his intentions (via tell).
Norrath is the new Russia, where every player needs a dash cam to prove what happened. Anyway, I want to let you all know what kind of person Naturia can be...and yes, when he trained me I actually got the extra mobs under control, but then charm broke at the same time and I died. This wouldn't have happened if he didn't introduce a train. Velks is a pretty easy zone, especially for chanters at the frenzy camp.
I really hate Naturia. It sucks to continuously run into this guy everywhere I go.

I know Frenzy is 2 camps. If this guy wanted upper, he could have had it without even saying a word to me. All I wanted was lower, which I had until he arrived to train me because he was upset that I had the camp and he didn't.

J.a.P. has been around for years. Hard to believe someone who has played for so long could be so sloppy; unless it was on purpose. Any chance on getting the other side of the story of this ?

I don't get involved in RNF however, I feel the need to speak up on this. OP - stuff happens. Accidental trains happen. If you feel the need to give someone the finger every time you see them, does it make you feel better about yourself in RL? I've been trained before accidentally, and I've trained others in the same manner. Obviously what he said after wasn't the nicest thing, but time heals all wounds in most cases.
Bottom line - this was over a month ago. Get over it.
Mizard
01-06-2017, 01:41 PM
I can understand if it was an accidental train, but this was obviously on purpose.
Giving him the /rude every time I see him is because I want him to know his actions are not forgotten. It doesn't change the fact that he trained me.
Posting the proof of what he did here in RnF is like a form of closure for me. At least some of the server knows who he really is, and that's all that really matters in the end.

I would like to applaud Mizas for having the courage to come forward with his story. Not a lot to of people are willing to put themselves out there like he's done, whether it's 'cause they ashamed or afraid or just too sad to talk about it. Mizas is very clearly a strong person and I've no doubt he will rise above this misfortune. Good luck Mizas! ^^v

I have seen this type of behavior in Velks many many times.
It's fairly common for someone doing the upper frenzy to accidentally train lower. That's partly why I don't like treating them as separate camps. An Enchanter's illusion fading at an inopportune time is a fairly novel (but not unheard of) cause, but there are numerous spots on the very uppermost level where spiders tend to want to fall off, resulting in some impressive trains.

The server state ATM unfortunately completely blind eyes any violation that doesn't involve a 35 minute long fraps with soft R&B backdrops. It's unfortunate that it's true.

01-06-2017, 06:53 PM
I didn't see anything here to indicate that it was intentional training. Have you considered for even a moment OP that it is possible to accidentally train someone while at the same time being rude to them instead of unapologetic? It seems like you are using his attitude as some kind of evidence lol.

Tbh it could just be a snooty reply if you were being nasty to him. Most people don't like being wrong and many do not respond well to criticism, ESPECIALLY if it was an accident. Most of those with any sort of confidence will just reply with a FUK U, like that, but that was more polite and dismissive. 10/10 response if you started off being a turd :/
Mizard
01-06-2017, 07:07 PM
Nah, all I did was send him a tell that said 'camped' and then he trained me. That's not a 'turd' or 'snooty' response at all.
The people on this forum who are defending Naturia are the same people who think training players is okay. I'll be recording video from now on so I can do my part to rid this server of scumbags like Naturia.

I'm strongly reminded of the time I stumbled into a high-end guild's recharge breadline and immediately found myself bombarded with aggressive tells along the lines of "go away!" and "petitioned!" and "enjoy your ban!".....for doing nothing more than walking around in the vicinity. How funny. Of course nothing came of it, but it illustrates the mindset of some folks who succumb to paranoia and always assume the worst of everyone. I shrugged my case off as dorks being dorks and went on with my business, but some folks might not feel like shrugging it off. Some folks might decide to tweak a raging guy and see if he rages himself into a stroke.
Maybe, just maybe, a guide with a long queue might skip over a petition where everyone involved was behaving like a twit.

you don't really need fraps. All you have to do is document every moment of your character's existence using screenshots and narrative devices...
You can only get away with that if you use mise-en-scène, contrived plot devices and some spectacles of nudery.

Best part is when people try to hide their guild names as if /guildstatus Soandso is going to stop anyone knowing. That's a hot tip for red server too, always check who they're with.

That actually might have been me. Recently I fell off the top TLing someone and gated out myself to (try) make sure I didn't pick up any aggro or cause a train. Thought I made a clean get away, but if this event occurred when I was there I suggest it was probably me! Sorry!

Don't sweat it. I've failed at a drop transfer before. I assumed the item just ground rotted, so made my bi annual petition to see if I could get it back. Apparently it was actually taken by another player. Once another player takes control of an item that was dropped/given to an npc/sold to vendor it becomes that new players property, so can the original owner cannot be reimbursed.
Despite being stung by this ruling I think it is fair enough. NPC vendors are not safe deposit boxes. They are there to buy and sell goods.

I think you misunderstood jimjam--I didn't buy their crap. I don't want their crap. I did nothing in my case except walk past the aforementioned breadline--simply being in the vicinity was sufficient to elicit threats and anger. It was simply an example of the pointless paranoia and aggression harbored by a portion of the population here which this thread happened to remind me of.

If you have ever farmed in velks as a chanter you will know exactly why this thread was made. It's not out of paranoia, it's because the majority of the time I have mobs stolen from me, even if I am sitting on top of them as they spawn. There are few players in Velks who respect a camp. especially at Frenzy and BM.
Until you have experienced it first hand, you would never know what it's like.

FYI I have a screenshot of a GM telling me that the camp is one single camp, if you were there first because you are at a vantage point where you can see all of the mob spawns from one location.
A camp is any location where you can see the mobs from one single vantage point.

FYI, players of p99 are responsible for their mobs. If you train mobs, even by accident, you are supposed to die before you ever train them on someone. This has been declared many times by the staff. However, it's pretty much only enforced if there is video evidence.

Don't worry, I understood completely. I was merely pointing out that even if you did do anything there would be little chance of retribution against you. They would have just been advised to be less careless in vendoring their important items next time (and no doubt would have brought a massive whine thread to the forums).
It is funny when you are just hanging out near some 'serious' players and they go banana thinking you are going to steal their mobs, train/wipe them, etc. Sadly, even in crushbone this happens.

Once I logged in to see an enchanter die while pet charming. He seemed to quit while zoning to his bind point.
It was unlucky as I could have rezzed him right there and then (was on my static's cleric). I think he rage quit as he lost all his -mr gear that was on his pet. I carried that stuff around on me for weeks, even after his corpse apparently rotted. Never seen him online again so I gave it to a druid that SoWd me as I figured it would help their charm.
Another time I found a WC cap, fully charged in Sol Ro temple. Waited around for a while, but no one came to collect it so I took it to for my own recharges, mwahahah. Eventually gave my own charged cap away to someone stuck without an escape rope... they kindly gave me an uncharged and 200pp in return which I thought was pretty kind.
I'll try and think of more 'taking theirs, but not theirs' item stories. Jimjam frequently borrows gobo earrings... maybe one day I won't give it back?!

That's because 9 times out of 10, that's exactly what someone does.
Paranoia is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of delusion and irrationality.[1] Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself (e.g. "Everyone is out to get me"). Paranoia is distinct from phobias, which also involve irrational fear, but usually no blame. Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia. For example, an incident most people would view as an accident or coincidence, a paranoid person might believe was intentional.

Rilex is the biggest cuck frenzy farmer on the server. Thats the only camp he can half handle. I have seen him die to Crystal eyes twice in a row. I have also seen This twat run down to bm, pop 15 traps and cap, making the place unbreakable. Then when he has the camp will use gate the second root breaks, lose the camp, run back down to you with more trap spiders and gate or cap, also seem him calm a group of hunters, then cast allure twice in a row get his stun resisted and two shotted , then directly after, yell at you the camp is his(keep in mind hes 57 and cant hold the camp in the first place) then do his funny little trap trick, fuck this guy. I remember being told to leave Mistimoore repeatedly one night after attempting to pull from inside castle to CE camp several times with massive trains.
I thought people where just mean.
Little did I know it was totally feasible to pull the castle. I was just terrible at the game.
I did eventually learn to pull MM without training. But that didn't happen until years later.
Oh, the memories.
