When I first started here on these forums, lots of the same people that are still around, had thousands of posts. One day they all magically were lots lower. Even if they deleted whole threads, it would have been some very gigantic threads for the differences in post #'s that are to what was.

I do remember that during my only couple of years here though I had heard it was also some raid threads also and/or more.. but that's just hearsay/3rd party story. It must have been a Rantfest then because some people went from 3,000 +\- posts to maybe 100 posts in a day, lol

You can't delete posts more than liek 30min after you make them. So you can't do what you are saying. Used to could though.

Personally, I would like an easy way to export all my posts to text. If anyone knows a good way to do this or a good way to even pull them out of the forums given the 500 post limit on search, I would be super duper thankful :3

if there were a security issue such as doxxing, maybe something I remembered posting but didn't know exactly when

or just a post that may reveal my antiquated in-game identity (assuming I'm in a GM position now and no longer am allowed to play my old character). this may be important to avoid any unwarranted accusations about favoritism stemming from old guild alliances etc.

or maybe i posted gay porn when i was really drunk and was too scared to look at it again so i just blanket nuked my history. this moreso applies when deleting someone else's history - its just easier sometimes than looking through their crap

Say you mentioned smoking weed and snorting cocaine off strippers, and you're now going for a security clearance, military, FBI, whatever. Say you mentioned barfining ladyboys in Thailand and your new girlfriend uses your laptop. This happens all the time. People say stupid things on the internet and don't want it to haunt them down the road. Even if the chances are slim to none it is more peace of mind.
