Richgirl's Casino

Normally I could care less if other people are doing a casino, but here is my beef with Richgirl. You agree to a certain set of rules with her and she has no problem winning money off of you, she won 7k in fact off me. However, on a 10k roll she decides she is going to change her rules and refused to payout. Sounds a little shady huh?

Better yet, while casino's normally don't have the best rep's right off the bat because others disagree with them in the first place, Richgirl insists on sending me tells bashing this community and cursing them because they aren't gambling with her...

hmm... I wonder why?

Maybe I'll take the time to post screens later on of the nonsense she has said.

She agreed to roll 1-10 with me and that the higher person would win the bet. We would reroll on ties. After she won 7k on me from a few rolls, I placed a bet for 10k to which I rolled a 10 and she asked publicly for a reroll, that her "beat the dealer game" was 1-8. Had I rolled a 1 I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have changed her rules. It was a very shady move that she turned public in order to make herself look right in the situation. GM's can bring the logs up if they wish.

Yeah I know how to locate the folder normally, but it's not there! I've even run a search on it and when it pulls it up i double click on the folder and it tells me that the shortcut cannot be found missing file.

Try and do a search for "EQ0000" or something to that effect. I had trouble looking for screen shots at one point, but someone gave me that advice and it helped!

I really can't find my screenshots folder, and like I said, GM's can pull up the chat log. I wouldn't claim that only to have a GM pull up the actual logs and be like, "nah you lying look at the logs".

Even though I can't post the screens and it seems I'm shooting myself in the foot, my story is still legit.

I don't have the best reputation with this community, nor do I claim to, but I also have had a few personal experiences with Richgirl. Like every post of mine, I'll just tell the shit like it is.

1. Last summer when I first started the game I was poor as shit, since I had nobody who played here previously to help me out. By the time I had made my first 1k plat I had started to gamble with him. The only game I thought was even worth it was "beat the dealer". At the time, is was /random 1 10. I was regularly winning, to the point where I had around 8k total on the server. I lost a lot too, but in the end I was up. One day he told me the game was changed, it was now /random 1 8. I lost pretty much everything.

2. I don't really care about the money, because my main is a Mage. That type of money isn't really a bother. I am just attesting to the fact that he WILL change the odds if he starts losing a lot.

3. I started my own casino for a few weeks. I actually had extensive conversations with "Richgirl", who claims to be a Vegas gambler by occupation, about casino games and odds. I worked out the numbers on his "beat the dealer" game and we both had a few laughs at times past. I wasn't really upset with him changing the odds, it was just business. His new games runs about a 11% house advantage, in case you were wondering.

4. When I started my own casino, he tried to lecture me about developing "original games". Apparently he claims to be the originator of the many "classic" Everquest casino games on live. I obliged, and having some background in statistics, did my own thing. I had four games, one of which was "beat the dealer", pretty much a replica of his version. The other 3 were pretty different, though they all have some similarities. On one of the days that he randomly logs on, he starts flaming me in tells saying stuff like "nice job copying me asshole" blah blah blah blah. It was pretty sad for a few reasons. A - I thought we were on friendly terms, considering we had lengthy discussions on gambling and statistics, something we both enjoyed. B - Most of my games were original in their probabilities and styles. C - When everything is said and done, its a fucking /random. Pure and simple. There really is nothing original about rolling a dice in EQ. The games are all copied from somewhere. He thinks his shit was original, lol, but it isn't.

After that, I put "Richgirl" on ignore. Overall, it was pretty lame. I made 5k in a week doing a casino, got extremely bored, and stopped. There is nothing "original" about casinos in EQ. The fact that this guy changes his numbers and his max bets on a whim is quite unprofessional.

I would not recommend using Richgirl for gambling purposes.

You probably cant find your screenshots because you dont have admin rights unlocked on your EQ folder. I had the same issue using Vista and had to unlock it. When I did, any screens I took after that shows up. But the ones before that were not there. You may be SOL on getting them.

Same, mine are located in:

C:\Users\Name(your user name)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\Screenshots

AppData was 'hidden', to un-hide it, go into your C:\Users\Name(your user name), click on Tools >> Folder Options >> View tab, and where it says "Hidden files and folders" make sure "show hidden files, folders, and drives" is checked. Click Apply/OK, and AppData should show up.

I'm running Win7 btw.

I was selling 2 x Chipped Bone Bracelets in EC tunnel (200pp each), and was messaged by this guy who wanted them but didn't really have enough money, plus he mentioned that he had lost quite a bit of plat at the casino.

Now, I don't have anything against Casinos per se', but moments later I was messaged by the guy who was running the casino who was interested in buying these bracelets.

I sold them to him and low and behold 10 minutes later he was auctioning them off for 300pp.

Now, each to their own, but my personal opinion is that although people may argue that your free to do whatever you like etc, I really do think this goes against the spirit of the game.

Well Kav I have to say after tonight you have secured your position in p99 history as biggest fail casino. You bag on Richgirl yet you cant follow your own rules for the "1k give away" you hosted tonight.

Reasons:

And I quote: "Lowest number loses".

Bob rolled highest and won, didnt want the money and chose to have a reroll.

Your a moron to turn it around and give it to the lowest after your initial quote before the event began.

What is that they always say? Oh yes...."Take your own advice".

First off, originally I told Rippinghammer I was doing lowest wins, He can attest to that. Secondly, I meant to say "lowest wins" to put a twist on thinks. Thirdly, Bob rolled a 17 meaning he was lowest and rightfully won, he decided to give it back. I then went with the next lowest who was 19.

I know, I'm shady for giving away 2k in 2 nights and plan on doing more giveaways. /sigh.

Please show us how to give money away correctly sir =) I think a 5k give away should suffice. Hell I have given away over 50k in 2 random events so far...5k is a small price to pay to show people how to give their money to strangers correctly =)
