Disappointing. I guess it's just human nature though. Why not pick a dungeon or area that is underpopulated or disliked. Duo's, Trio's, hell I have even seen a single twink holding down popular grouping spots and not allowing others to join. I understand it's their right, first come first serve or whatever. But is it r I g h t? Come on guys, don't be antisocial and don't consider yourselves so elite. This is jh hs bullshitt.

Did you try asking the individual who was taking your pixels to share them?

This type of behavior will backfire on the player(s) and they will be chased off the server eventually. Take BDA for example, bunch of nerdy tools who were ultimately banished from P99 society by every major guild because they couldn’t share… Made agreements and then tore those agreements up when it stopped suiting their needs. Low life’s like this get their comeuppance even if takes some time.

Just my 2cp, however have you considered this so called "Elitist" is simply bored of the game? And are simply trying to do something that normally takes a group as a challenge? I know that being on this server for years gets a bit old, so I love to push the envelope as to what I can do by myself or duo. It makes this game more challenging and fun.

Your point is well taken but I have to agree with the OP. I have experienced this numerous times as well. While I can appreciate people looking for a challenge I don't think that is the case usually. I don't know if I would use the term elitist but if you are playing a level appropriate character and soloing a camp while others are sitting there LFG and nothing to kill..you are kind of being a dick. It's an MMO not a SP game.

I will always invite people LFG..I don't care if it's less efficient XP gain..it's an MMO. I realize the lure of maximizing XP gain is strong but it's an MMO..don't be a dick. That's why many people play this emulator..to get away from MMOs that are just a bunch of people soloing shit next to each other without interacting.

I also semi-consistently see lvl 60's (in raiding guilds no less) camping places like HHP for idols or soloing ass/sup in Lguk. Really? A 60 necro in a raiding guild can't find a better place to farm? Maybe let lower level players who have more limited options farm that low level shit so they can make some coin or get items or better yet..level appropriate groups who will actually *gasp* get XP *and* loot?

I even had someone tell me he was farming the idols for raid FTE trackers and when I suggested he should just let noobs farm it and buy them he said they used to do that but noobs got too greedy and started charging too much. Doesn't everyone charge more when something is in high demand? If raid guilds use them that much the price will go up so I don't think it's the fault of "noobs"..it's just supply and demand.

Considering all the coin floating around on this server from proxy AE groups and the like...shouldn't raid guilds be able to afford it? Maybe that's an incorrect assumption..I don't know but it seems if you are a raid guild and can't afford to buy idols you might have bigger problems than noobs charging a few extra plat for items that other guilds are gladly (and quickly) paying for. :p

BTW, I have also experienced plenty of cool people looking for something like the mask from assassin in Lguk and they just sit there and let the group play and only loot the item if it's going to rot and don't interfere with the group. I would say overall my experiences have been pretty positive on this server so the asshats seem like the exception not the rule.

Sorry for the novel. TLDR version: Don't be a dick. Group up. This is a classic MMO..not BDO.

sorry you weren't allowed to break mezzes and take afks and roll on a tstaff

some people prefer to not have people learning the game in their groups, plenty of other zones for that as u suggest

Lol, idol camp is literally one mob next to a zone line. That isn't monopolizing anything. So your logic is that high level players shouldn't farm items they are going to use, but should instead buy them at exorbitant prices from low level characters? You do realize to buy idols they'd just need to farm else where, right?

No one cared about idols until raiders started using them en mass, and there is absolutely no reason why a high level character should be any less entitled to farming that mob than anyone else. The only reason the mob drops anything of value in the first place is because raiders use idols. Lowbies are welcome to price gouge if they want, but arguing they should have some exclusivity to the camp and that higher level players should pay them for idols is some backwards ass thinking.

If someone is twinked out with bis droppables, has buffs, pocket "gf" druid helping PL, why should they be obligated to carry your noob ass? If they're doing all the pulling, tanking, healing, 95% of the DPS, why should that person feel obligated to invite others to take 50%+ of the exp? Maybe you should git gud so they'll actually want to invite you.

OK, so high end characters/guilds are perfectly within their right to exclusively occupy entire XP zones like Chardok and charge exorbitant prices for proxies to get XP and epic drops but then they also have to occupy the low level camps as well because they can't afford the going rate for idols? Seems a bit absurd. That being said I'm not arguing for any exclusivity for anyone on anything.

If you can find a way to AE chardok or down epic mobs with lowbie characters, by all means go for it. Of course high level characters dominate high level content - because low level characters simply arent high enough level to do it. That doesn't mean they have to forfeit all lower end content too. Useful stuff still comes from low end content.

Raid guilds aren't monopolizing chardok, literally anyone with a character who can contribute to the group can get put on the list to join. In fact, I would doubt raid guild characters even make up the majority of people doing / selling chardok AE - most are too busy raiding.

You know what the solution to all this shit is? Make the best of what life throws your way! I logged on this weekend a couple times to someone sitting in the camp I wanted. Instead of throwing a fit, I asked them to let me know when they were done, and I went and did something else. Sure enough, after a couple hours I got my camp. The only person entitled to a camp is the person who got there first. Arguing over who deserves what more is just dumb.

Way to read a bunch of shit into what I said. Obviously, low level characters aren't going to be in Chardok but the point wasn't to contribute to a proxy group. The point was that some people don't want proxy groups and don't want to pay to get XP in a popular zone so why should a select few get "exclusive" rights to an entire zone? I realize many have been here a long time and have long since bored of playing/leveling but some actually do want to play the game as it was intended instead of just power leveling to max level.

Also, who said anyone was throwing a fit or not sending people tells to communicate? I actually do communicate and some people are cool about it and others are dicks. Like I said before..most of my interactions with people have been positive so I'm fine with how things are for the most part. I just thought it was dumb that high level characters were camping low level items and monopolizing camps better suited to lower level players.

Again, I explicitly said I was not arguing for anyone to be entitled to anything or get some sort of exclusivity and yet you seem to be perfectly fine with a select few getting exclusivity to Chardok (doesn't matter if they are from raid guilds or not) but I guess you have a way to justify that as being different somehow.

stuff

Except you're misrepresenting the chardok situation. I've exp'd in chardok outside of AE without any problem. They have no claim on the zone and get in trouble for training you. The reason people AE in chardok is because almost no one uses that zone because it isn't really itemized until the revamp. If you go to chardok and set up camp in the way of the AE pull, you aren't breaking any rules and the AE group is if they train you - its just no one does that because until the revamp chardok isn't a high traffic zone (aside from AE) and everyone in the AE group would think you're a dick.

No one is forcing anyone to AE or pay for AE proxies. Even with AE groups there are plenty of areas of chardok that aren't part of the AE pull that you could go exp in. There is no exclusivity in chardok, full stop. Anyone with a character who can contribute to AE can join AE, and anyone who can't is more than free to form a group and head up there. People just don't because the risk/reward sucks outside of Royals and AE until revamp.

Also, you seem to have ignored my point that the idol camp is literally one mob. It isn't like guys camping it are clearing high pass to do it. Sorry people are camping the item themselves instead of buying it from you at inflated prices.
