Favorite zone?

What's your favorite zone? Mine is SBM!

Highkeep, I leveled all my toons on live from like 20-45 there. Fuck faction!

Butcherblock. Hung around there a lot when I first played, soloing at low levels - been a fan ever since.

SBM? Stonebrunt Mountains, I assume? I really liked what they did with the whole Stonebrunt/Warrens thing, Odus badly needed a mid/low level zone. Plus they had a bunch of quests for unique clicky / low level items and this guy (http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.html?id=6488) was an awesome boss.

That said, I gotta go with Tower of Frozen Shadow. Hands down, coolest dungeon crawl I've ever done.

I've always had a soft spot for city of mist.

I always liked Sol A/B as the archetypal fantasy/D&D dungeon, with its goblins, giants, and a bad ass dragon.

I think I would have to say SolB with Crystal Caverns a close second.

as far as the original trilogy is concerned, Dreadlands probably one of my favorites , soooo many great memories in that zone, also Kael, Velks.

as for my over all, all time favorite EQ zone, Muramite Proving Grounds hands down with out a doubt.

If we're talking about P99, I'd have to go with Plane of Fear, it made us reach new heights!

Blackburrow has to be my all time favorite zone, reasons:

- You are still low enough of a level to solo there pretty much as any class.

- The layout of the dungeon I always thought was awesome.

- A sense of danger the lower and deeper you go.

- Snake pit and Snake Ledge is freakin awesome. Could solo snakes without adds and general safety.

- There are a few named or boss gnolls that spawn.

- It had it's own community, because it was so far out of the way for most players. Only barbarians and humans / half elves really hung out here.

- Gnoll teeth quest, both are just amazing and addictive.

- Some decent classic loot drops, spiked collar / studded collar, even the snake fang was awesome to me at the time.

- Train!

Also rusty spiked shoulders are pretty rad +5str in shoulder slot.

Kedge and OOT are my favorite classic zones for some twisted reason.

Skyfire - kiter's post 50 paradise.

Chardok - great dungeon crawl, was never too crowded.. ppl who just went there for epics missed out.

Charasis - tons of great loots, undead mobs, way underpopulated on live. How the ubers snuck to 60 faster than everyone training in Karnors..

Classic? Gotta be Unrest.

Field Of Bone - Cut my teeth there. You find so many things as you explore that zone, caves, beach, more caves, caves under water, etc.

Classic - Lower Guk
RoK - Lake of Ill Omen
Velious - Kael or Velk

Old Sebilis is pitch perfect to me. Difficult mobs, difficult camps, requires a quested key to enter and has a boss mob. For me it was an upgraded Lower guk in the sense its somewhere you can spend all your time and feel rewarded. Love that place, can't wait.

classic - Lesser Faydark

So little was known about this zone by just about everyone, yet it was right next to the most populated newbie zone. Was always a ton of fun to discover a new named mob there.

RoK - Old Sebilis

awesome dungeon design.

SoV - NToV.

A zone full of dragons.

Luclin - Ssra temple

Lots of mystery there and both raid and non-raid targets.

PoP - BoT

My favorite zone ever. Tons of nameds, tons of loot, stuff for groups and stuff for raids, a place to shine as a bard puller.

GoD - Qvic

Loved the M`Shas.

OoW - Ruined City of Dranik.

I really enjoyed learning this zone, had lots of different stuff.

DoD - Ruins of Illsalin.

Last zone I really enjoyed, had lots of challenging one group encounters and lots of loot.
