looking to try red?

Think again, me and my brother went over to red and tried it out. We had been warned about people on red, even not to trust guild leaders and officers. So we kept a look at the DKP logs, not just ours but everyones.

we compared and contrasted alot of different DKP's.


If your looking at going over to <Tempest> they talk a big game and make alot of promises, but they are not like blue folk, they lie in order to achieve their ends.


here is a thread. pointing out the DKP problems, there are also many more. I'm not doing this outa spite, i just feel like i have been wronged, i was a lvl 44 shaman on blue and got talked into red by <tempest> officers. these are my findings.

they are making a HUGE push to recruit blue players and i want to keep all the blue players up to date about the situation in <Tempest> they are peeling people away from blue a perfectly stable server making alot of promises and then falling thru on them ontop of the actual guild being on shaky ground.

rules are made up on the fly when it comes to loot even though its a DKP based guild(seriously i have never been in a DKP guild that changed the rules more than <tempest>.

some items are non dkp and only awarded (the good ones) basically making DKP moot.

<Tempest> is one of the biggest smoke and daggers guild i have ever come across on p99. the misrepresentation of there goals and mission statement should be illegal on p99 to do stuff like this and straight up lie in order to recruit. They don't care one lick about you. they just want bodies and when your in the guild they refer to you are warm bodies or sandbags from blue.

what a waste of time, you'd think peope who need you wouldn't dress you down if they are coming from blue, but no they of course make fun of your for being from blue.

my take away is stay far, very far away from red, and the guild <Tempest>

that is true they are 70 deep in tov atm they have been there since 8pm EST, going on 6 hours now. They have attempted vyemm 4 times now with instant wipes on every single attempt. first round tank death every time. they have a 15 cleric chain. a kunark geared tank. and lvl 52 rogues.

it gnarly over there watching the stream now.

so yea, someone saying 15 clerics isnt enough, another person saying noone is paying attention. another person saying to many people giving instructions, another person saying they are all fading and its time to pack it in after there 5th wipe without getting the dragon down past 98%

ah forgot to point out, cookies is a lvl 40 monk that is randomly shoutting for a TOV necklace.

this is just what happens when your leadership consists of:


-aguild leader who holds the record for most permabanned characters on the server

-an officer who's maining/gearing his third monk because he RMT'd his first one, which subsequently got banned, then stopped playing his second one because he didn't own the eqemulator account and someone stripped it

-an officer who holds the record for most suspensions due to training and LNS violations, also a teenager in real life

Last night was a pretty successful raid with several of our members getting loot. We got three dragons down before that last one.
