It's been a long time since I've been compelled to bring up in-game p99 drama on RNF, maybe since the TMO days in 2012, and I'm not all too excited about the prospect of it....since at the end of the day it really is kind of boring...and nobody really cares.
....But here's a really longwinded post anyway for the drama llamas enjoyment on here. Let's pour one out for the RNF gods, and Innoruuk.
Oh and for those tl;dr -- fuck <Paradigm shift>. Shady fucks and terrible guild.

I feel obligated to shed some light on the guild <Paradigm Shift>, it's existence, it's players, and it's general scumminess. I was the leader of the guild that eventually became Paradigm Shit, er...Shift, a guild called <Ill Tempered Seabass>. Paradigm Shift formed out of a hostile takeover of ITSB. I'm here to share the story of that.
Yes, the ITSB name probably fit at times, but overall we were a fun guild. A lot of people still send me tells about how much they enjoyed it. We had a lot of great players and progressed rapidly in the raid scene due to an active player base, an egalitarian loot system, anti-cliqueness (doesn't exist on p99 in any other raiding guild) and great teamwork.
Unfortunately, the guild was split apart due to a core of 7-8 real life friends who wouldn't accept the leadership's loot decisions. They cried a lot, wouldn't accept no for an answer from the majority of officers on our loot council. They then caused a bunch of drama to split Seabass up and formed the guild Paradigm Shit.
Q: What happened with Seabass to bring about its abrupt end?
Lamented (who played Rhovanion, a well geared 60 cleric in Taken, also probably currently double dipping in Awakened as well as P-shift right now) , owned ITSB's mumble and also had a bunch of real life friends in the guild. Some of these members also had mains in Taken, not just him. Lamented blatantly violated the guild's 1 tag policy but I and the officers overlooked it because he was generally a nice guy and I knew him from live. This was a bad decision looking back but that's how it happened.
These real life friends had caused some drama including all disbanding from the guild one day (like all 9 of them) because Tortue made a guildmotd about baguettes. Yeah, they were pretty sensitive. Anyway, a shaman in this group of players named Csisu wanted our copy of Torpor from the guildbank. I initially refused because my other officers, JB and Feidhlim, voted no with me -- due to her lack of DKP -- but Kordain said I should do it. So i said, OK, sure Kord, lets do it.
I allowed Csisu to have the spell but asked her if she could turn in her fungi to guildbank for one of our monks and also asked her (politely) to tell Lamented that we'd really like his cleric's help on our raids (i was kind of weirded out he was in <Taken> with his 60 cleric, that we desperately needed, when Csisu his S.O. was asking for a 150k spell).
This was around the time when we did our first HoT raids. They were successful but we were desperate for heals. Here are some logs of our first major HoT raid with him raiding with another guild while we worked hard for our first HoT kills:

The next day, I logged into OT for our scheduled HoT raid and made a MOTD for it. About 3 seconds later, I received 2 tells from Taken members about what we're up to. I do a /w all and see Rhovanion (Lamented) raiding with Taken in HoT, instead of us. I also know that we have some members in/near ToV. Nonetheless I am a little suspicious that Rhovanion was telling Taken about our plans to raid HoT, and even if he wasn't, he was still choosing to raid with them over us, on our raid day, even though he claimed he was Seabass through and through, etc. His loyalty was not 100% and here was Csisu, trying to make me feel like an ass for not giving her a 150k spell.

So I realized at that point that this is a person and group of people who are all real life friends -- and I don't know - between the mumble private channel (Yes, they actually had a locked channel within the mumble that was offlimits to ordinary Seabass members and even me, as leader), the multi-guild tags, the cliqueiness, the collective ragequitting over stupid petty drama -- I had this gut feeling that they were taking a bit advantage of the guild because of their collective strength. And that they were a destabilizing force. I mean it was obvious that if I kicked one of them they would all leave and it could really hurt the guild. So maybe they thought that they could dictate what decisions and policies I enforce and not, due to their collective strength. I couldn't let it go any further.
Thinking about all of this for a sec, combined with the spell thing, I removed Lamented (Rhovanion) from the guild and asked for his RBB back. He promptly shot me a tell saying "Oh you want to play that way?" He immediately closed mumble for our HoT raid, crippling our ability to communicate on it. We had to scramble to get my officer Jeanbaptiste's Mumble up at that point. Luckily we did, we were able to have a pretty smooth raid. Rhovanion was there the entire time raiding with Taken while we were struggling. I thought the raid went pretty good considering we were very low on people and I thought things would calm down and improve after the raid ended. I hoped so anyway. People were sensing drama and they were right.
Unfortunately, Kordain (also plays Annorakh, Thrakdar), one of our four officers, had other plans. He was so upset by my actions that he took it upon himself to call a raid and organize the bass to kill Fay for Lamented/Csisu the next day. Fay dropped a torpor. He promptly awarded that, with no discussion, to Csisu, outside of the guild and did not let our members roll for or even have a chance at it. This all happened while I was offline. I mean what would you do in this situation as a guildleader? What we had was a purposeful raid intended to inflame drama and split the guild apart. Kordain basically shit on the other Bass officers, members, and my opinions by doing what he wanted to help his friends and not preserve the will of the guild leadership. He was tearing the guild apart at that point.
So I still resolved to try to calm the situation, to talk to Kordain, and he agreed in tells that he would calm down and join us on our Kael raid, which was happening that day, to help gear out some of our new folks. He did not end up showing up.
Later, contrary to "calming down" as he told me, he left the guild, making it as public as possible -- in the motd.
Seeing that Kordain was our first member and what I thought was a pretty close friend, his betrayal here and power trip caused me to disband the guild, I really had no choice.
So yeah, all these greedy scumbags reformed into Paradigm Shit. They've been farming HoT for months, not progressing, and basically living off the same velious raid strats and progression strategies that I shared with them as their raid leader. Not that there's much to EQ anyway. But yeah, fuck these guys.

So yeah, that pissed me off but back to the loot drama story. After offering Csisu the deal she refused to give the fungi up for a torpor and said I was railroading her and making her feel bad/pressured. So, in response, I gave her the Torpor spell, apologized, and wanted to avoid further drama. I told her it would be great to have Lamented on more of our raids with Rhovanion. The next day, I logged into OT for our scheduled HoT raid and made a MOTD for it. About 3 seconds later, I received 2 tells from Taken members about what we're up to. I do a /w all and see Rhovanion (Lamented) raiding with Taken in HoT, instead of us. I also know that we have some members in/near ToV. Nonetheless I am a little suspicious that Rhovanion was telling Taken about our plans to raid HoT, and even if he wasn't, he was still choosing to raid with them over us, on our raid day, even though he claimed he was Seabass through and through, etc. His loyalty was not 100% and here was Csisu, trying to make me feel like an ass for not giving her a 150k spell.

So I realized at that point that this is a person and group of people who are all real life friends -- and I don't know - between the mumble private channel (Yes, they actually had a locked channel within the mumble that was offlimits to ordinary Seabass members and even me, as leader), the multi-guild tags, the cliqueiness, the collective ragequitting over stupid petty drama -- I had this gut feeling that they were taking a bit advantage of the guild because of their collective strength. And that they were a destabilizing force. I mean it was obvious that if I kicked one of them they would all leave and it could really hurt the guild. So maybe they thought that they could dictate what decisions and policies I enforce and not, due to their collective strength. I couldn't let it go any further.
Thinking about all of this for a sec, combined with the spell thing, I removed Lamented (Rhovanion) from the guild and asked for his RBB back. He promptly shot me a tell saying "Oh you want to play that way?" He immediately closed mumble for our HoT raid, crippling our ability to communicate on it. We had to scramble to get my officer Jeanbaptiste's Mumble up at that point. Luckily we did, we were able to have a pretty smooth raid. Rhovanion was there the entire time raiding with Taken while we were struggling. I thought the raid went pretty good considering we were very low on people and I thought things would calm down and improve after the raid ended. I hoped so anyway. People were sensing drama and they were right.
Unfortunately, Kordain (also plays Annorakh, Thrakdar), one of our four officers, had other plans. He was so upset by my actions that he took it upon himself to call a raid and organize the bass to kill Fay for Lamented/Csisu the next day. Fay dropped a torpor. He promptly awarded that, with no discussion, to Csisu, outside of the guild and did not let our members roll for or even have a chance at it. This all happened while I was offline. I mean what would you do in this situation as a guildleader? What we had was a purposeful raid intended to inflame drama and split the guild apart. Kordain basically shit on the other Bass officers, members, and my opinions by doing what he wanted to help his friends and not preserve the will of the guild leadership. He was tearing the guild apart at that point.
So I still resolved to try to calm the situation, to talk to Kordain, and he agreed in tells that he would calm down and join us on our Kael raid, which was happening that day, to help gear out some of our new folks. He did not end up showing up.
Later, contrary to "calming down" as he told me, he left the guild, making it as public as possible -- in the motd.
Seeing that Kordain was our first member and what I thought was a pretty close friend, his betrayal here and power trip caused me to disband the guild, I really had no choice.
So yeah, all these greedy scumbags reformed into Paradigm Shit. They've been farming HoT for months, not progressing, and basically living off the same velious raid strats and progression strategies that I shared with them as their raid leader. Not that there's much to EQ anyway. But yeah, fuck these guys.

It's been a long time since I've been compelled to bring up in-game p99 drama on RNF, maybe since the TMO days in 2012, and I'm not all too excited about the prospect of it....since at the end of the day it really is kind of boring...and nobody really cares.
....But here's a really longwinded post anyway for the drama llamas enjoyment on here. Let's pour one out for the RNF gods, and Innoruuk.
Oh and for those tl;dr -- fuck <Paradigm shift>. Shady fucks and terrible guild.

I feel obligated to shed some light on the guild <Paradigm Shift>, it's existence, it's players, and it's general scumminess. I was the leader of the guild that eventually became Paradigm Shit, er...Shift, a guild called <Ill Tempered Seabass>. Paradigm Shift formed out of a hostile takeover of ITSB. I'm here to share the story of that.
Yes, the ITSB name probably fit at times, but overall we were a fun guild. A lot of people still send me tells about how much they enjoyed it. We had a lot of great players and progressed rapidly in the raid scene due to an active player base, an egalitarian loot system, anti-cliqueness (doesn't exist on p99 in any other raiding guild) and great teamwork.
Unfortunately, the guild was split apart due to a core of 7-8 real life friends who wouldn't accept the leadership's loot decisions. They cried a lot, wouldn't accept no for an answer from the majority of officers on our loot council. They then caused a bunch of drama to split Seabass up and formed the guild Paradigm Shit.
Q: What happened with Seabass to bring about its abrupt end?
Lamented (who played Rhovanion, a well geared 60 cleric in Taken, also probably currently double dipping in Awakened as well as P-shift right now) , owned ITSB's mumble and also had a bunch of real life friends in the guild. Some of these members also had mains in Taken, not just him. Lamented blatantly violated the guild's 1 tag policy but I and the officers overlooked it because he was generally a nice guy and I knew him from live. This was a bad decision looking back but that's how it happened.
These real life friends had caused some drama including all disbanding from the guild one day (like all 9 of them) because Tortue made a guildmotd about baguettes. Yeah, they were pretty sensitive. Anyway, a shaman in this group of players named Csisu wanted our copy of Torpor from the guildbank. I initially refused because my other officers, JB and Feidhlim, voted no with me -- due to her lack of DKP -- but Kordain said I should do it. So i said, OK, sure Kord, lets do it.
I allowed Csisu to have the spell but asked her if she could turn in her fungi to guildbank for one of our monks and also asked her (politely) to tell Lamented that we'd really like his cleric's help on our raids (i was kind of weirded out he was in <Taken> with his 60 cleric, that we desperately needed, when Csisu his S.O. was asking for a 150k spell).
This was around the time when we did our first HoT raids. They were successful but we were desperate for heals. Here are some logs of our first major HoT raid with him raiding with another guild while we worked hard for our first HoT kills:

So yeah, that pissed me off but back to the loot drama story. After offering Csisu the deal she refused to give the fungi up for a torpor and said I was railroading her and making her feel bad/pressured. So, in response, I gave her the Torpor spell, apologized, and wanted to avoid further drama. I told her it would be great to have Lamented on more of our raids with Rhovanion. The next day, I logged into OT for our scheduled HoT raid and made a MOTD for it. About 3 seconds later, I received 2 tells from Taken members about what we're up to. I do a /w all and see Rhovanion (Lamented) raiding with Taken in HoT, instead of us. I also know that we have some members in/near ToV. Nonetheless I am a little suspicious that Rhovanion was telling Taken about our plans to raid HoT, and even if he wasn't, he was still choosing to raid with them over us, on our raid day, even though he claimed he was Seabass through and through, etc. His loyalty was not 100% and here was Csisu, trying to make me feel like an ass for not giving her a 150k spell.

So I realized at that point that this is a person and group of people who are all real life friends -- and I don't know - between the mumble private channel (Yes, they actually had a locked channel within the mumble that was offlimits to ordinary Seabass members and even me, as leader), the multi-guild tags, the cliqueiness, the collective ragequitting over stupid petty drama -- I had this gut feeling that they were taking a bit advantage of the guild because of their collective strength. And that they were a destabilizing force. I mean it was obvious that if I kicked one of them they would all leave and it could really hurt the guild. So maybe they thought that they could dictate what decisions and policies I enforce and not, due to their collective strength. I couldn't let it go any further.
Thinking about all of this for a sec, combined with the spell thing, I removed Lamented (Rhovanion) from the guild and asked for his RBB back. He promptly shot me a tell saying "Oh you want to play that way?" He immediately closed mumble for our HoT raid, crippling our ability to communicate on it. We had to scramble to get my officer Jeanbaptiste's Mumble up at that point. Luckily we did, we were able to have a pretty smooth raid. Rhovanion was there the entire time raiding with Taken while we were struggling. I thought the raid went pretty good considering we were very low on people and I thought things would calm down and improve after the raid ended. I hoped so anyway. People were sensing drama and they were right.
Unfortunately, Kordain (also plays Annorakh, Thrakdar), one of our four officers, had other plans. He was so upset by my actions that he took it upon himself to call a raid and organize the bass to kill Fay for Lamented/Csisu the next day. Fay dropped a torpor. He promptly awarded that, with no discussion, to Csisu, outside of the guild and did not let our members roll for or even have a chance at it. This all happened while I was offline. I mean what would you do in this situation as a guildleader? What we had was a purposeful raid intended to inflame drama and split the guild apart. Kordain basically shit on the other Bass officers, members, and my opinions by doing what he wanted to help his friends and not preserve the will of the guild leadership. He was tearing the guild apart at that point.
So I still resolved to try to calm the situation, to talk to Kordain, and he agreed in tells that he would calm down and join us on our Kael raid, which was happening that day, to help gear out some of our new folks. He did not end up showing up.
Later, contrary to "calming down" as he told me, he left the guild, making it as public as possible -- in the motd.
Seeing that Kordain was our first member and what I thought was a pretty close friend, his betrayal here and power trip caused me to disband the guild, I really had no choice.
So yeah, all these greedy scumbags reformed into Paradigm Shit. They've been farming HoT for months, not progressing, and basically living off the same velious raid strats and progression strategies that I shared with them as their raid leader. Not that there's much to EQ anyway. But yeah, fuck these guys.

It's been a long time since I've been compelled to bring up in-game p99 drama on RNF, maybe since the TMO days in 2012, and I'm not all too excited about the prospect of it....since at the end of the day it really is kind of boring...and nobody really cares.
....But here's a really longwinded post anyway for the drama llamas enjoyment on here. Let's pour one out for the RNF gods, and Innoruuk.
Oh and for those tl;dr -- fuck <Paradigm shift>. Shady fucks and terrible guild.

I feel obligated to shed some light on the guild <Paradigm Shift>, it's existence, it's players, and it's general scumminess. I was the leader of the guild that eventually became Paradigm Shit, er...Shift, a guild called <Ill Tempered Seabass>. Paradigm Shift formed out of a hostile takeover of ITSB. I'm here to share the story of that.
Yes, the ITSB name probably fit at times, but overall we were a fun guild. A lot of people still send me tells about how much they enjoyed it. We had a lot of great players and progressed rapidly in the raid scene due to an active player base, an egalitarian loot system, anti-cliqueness (doesn't exist on p99 in any other raiding guild) and great teamwork.
Unfortunately, the guild was split apart due to a core of 7-8 real life friends who wouldn't accept the leadership's loot decisions. They cried a lot, wouldn't accept no for an answer from the majority of officers on our loot council. They then caused a bunch of drama to split Seabass up and formed the guild Paradigm Shit.
Q: What happened with Seabass to bring about its abrupt end?
Lamented (who played Rhovanion, a well geared 60 cleric in Taken, also probably currently double dipping in Awakened as well as P-shift right now) , owned ITSB's mumble and also had a bunch of real life friends in the guild. Some of these members also had mains in Taken, not just him. Lamented blatantly violated the guild's 1 tag policy but I and the officers overlooked it because he was generally a nice guy and I knew him from live. This was a bad decision looking back but that's how it happened.
These real life friends had caused some drama including all disbanding from the guild one day (like all 9 of them) because Tortue made a guildmotd about baguettes. Yeah, they were pretty sensitive. Anyway, a shaman in this group of players named Csisu wanted our copy of Torpor from the guildbank. I initially refused because my other officers, JB and Feidhlim, voted no with me -- due to her lack of DKP -- but Kordain said I should do it. So i said, OK, sure Kord, lets do it.
I allowed Csisu to have the spell but asked her if she could turn in her fungi to guildbank for one of our monks and also asked her (politely) to tell Lamented that we'd really like his cleric's help on our raids (i was kind of weirded out he was in <Taken> with his 60 cleric, that we desperately needed, when Csisu his S.O. was asking for a 150k spell).
This was around the time when we did our first HoT raids. They were successful but we were desperate for heals. Here are some logs of our first major HoT raid with him raiding with another guild while we worked hard for our first HoT kills:

The next day, I logged into OT for our scheduled HoT raid and made a MOTD for it. About 3 seconds later, I received 2 tells from Taken members about what we're up to. I do a /w all and see Rhovanion (Lamented) raiding with Taken in HoT, instead of us. I also know that we have some members in/near ToV. Nonetheless I am a little suspicious that Rhovanion was telling Taken about our plans to raid HoT, and even if he wasn't, he was still choosing to raid with them over us, on our raid day, even though he claimed he was Seabass through and through, etc. His loyalty was not 100% and here was Csisu, trying to make me feel like an ass for not giving her a 150k spell.

So I realized at that point that this is a person and group of people who are all real life friends -- and I don't know - between the mumble private channel (Yes, they actually had a locked channel within the mumble that was offlimits to ordinary Seabass members and even me, as leader), the multi-guild tags, the cliqueiness, the collective ragequitting over stupid petty drama -- I had this gut feeling that they were taking a bit advantage of the guild because of their collective strength. And that they were a destabilizing force. I mean it was obvious that if I kicked one of them they would all leave and it could really hurt the guild. So maybe they thought that they could dictate what decisions and policies I enforce and not, due to their collective strength. I couldn't let it go any further.
Thinking about all of this for a sec, combined with the spell thing, I removed Lamented (Rhovanion) from the guild and asked for his RBB back. He promptly shot me a tell saying "Oh you want to play that way?" He immediately closed mumble for our HoT raid, crippling our ability to communicate on it. We had to scramble to get my officer Jeanbaptiste's Mumble up at that point. Luckily we did, we were able to have a pretty smooth raid. Rhovanion was there the entire time raiding with Taken while we were struggling. I thought the raid went pretty good considering we were very low on people and I thought things would calm down and improve after the raid ended. I hoped so anyway. People were sensing drama and they were right.
Unfortunately, Kordain (also plays Annorakh, Thrakdar), one of our four officers, had other plans. He was so upset by my actions that he took it upon himself to call a raid and organize the bass to kill Fay for Lamented/Csisu the next day. Fay dropped a torpor. He promptly awarded that, with no discussion, to Csisu, outside of the guild and did not let our members roll for or even have a chance at it. This all happened while I was offline. I mean what would you do in this situation as a guildleader? What we had was a purposeful raid intended to inflame drama and split the guild apart. Kordain basically shit on the other Bass officers, members, and my opinions by doing what he wanted to help his friends and not preserve the will of the guild leadership. He was tearing the guild apart at that point.
So I still resolved to try to calm the situation, to talk to Kordain, and he agreed in tells that he would calm down and join us on our Kael raid, which was happening that day, to help gear out some of our new folks. He did not end up showing up.
Later, contrary to "calming down" as he told me, he left the guild, making it as public as possible -- in the motd.
Seeing that Kordain was our first member and what I thought was a pretty close friend, his betrayal here and power trip caused me to disband the guild, I really had no choice.
So yeah, all these greedy scumbags reformed into Paradigm Shit. They've been farming HoT for months, not progressing, and basically living off the same velious raid strats and progression strategies that I shared with them as their raid leader. Not that there's much to EQ anyway. But yeah, fuck these guys.

It's been a long time since I've been compelled to bring up in-game p99 drama on RNF, maybe since the TMO days in 2012, and I'm not all too excited about the prospect of it....since at the end of the day it really is kind of boring...and nobody really cares.
....But here's a really longwinded post anyway for the drama llamas enjoyment on here. Let's pour one out for the RNF gods, and Innoruuk.

I feel obligated to shed some light on the guild <Paradigm Shift>, it's existence, it's players, and it's general scumminess. I was the leader of the guild that eventually became Paradigm Shit, er...Shift, a guild called <Ill Tempered Seabass>. Paradigm Shift formed out of a hostile takeover of ITSB. I'm here to share the story of that.
Yes, the ITSB name probably fit at times, but overall we were a fun guild. A lot of people still send me tells about how much they enjoyed it. We had a lot of great players and progressed rapidly in the raid scene due to an active player base, an egalitarian loot system, anti-cliqueness (doesn't exist on p99 in any other raiding guild) and great teamwork.
Unfortunately, the guild was split apart due to a core of 7-8 real life friends who wouldn't accept the leadership's loot decisions. They cried a lot, wouldn't accept no for an answer from the majority of officers on our loot council. They then caused a bunch of drama to split Seabass up and formed the guild Paradigm Shit.
Q: What happened with Seabass to bring about its abrupt end?
Lamented (who played Rhovanion, a well geared 60 cleric in Taken, also probably currently double dipping in Awakened as well as P-shift right now) , owned ITSB's mumble and also had a bunch of real life friends in the guild. Some of these members also had mains in Taken, not just him. Lamented blatantly violated the guild's 1 tag policy but I and the officers overlooked it because he was generally a nice guy and I knew him from live. This was a bad decision looking back but that's how it happened.
These real life friends had caused some drama including all disbanding from the guild one day (like all 9 of them) because Tortue made a guildmotd about baguettes. Yeah, they were pretty sensitive. Anyway, a shaman in this group of players named Csisu wanted our copy of Torpor from the guildbank. I initially refused because my other officers, JB and Feidhlim, voted no with me -- due to her lack of DKP -- but Kordain said I should do it. So i said, OK, sure Kord, lets do it.
I allowed Csisu to have the spell but asked her if she could turn in her fungi to guildbank for one of our monks and also asked her (politely) to tell Lamented that we'd really like his cleric's help on our raids (i was kind of weirded out he was in <Taken> with his 60 cleric, that we desperately needed, when Csisu his S.O. was asking for a 150k spell).
This was around the time when we did our first HoT raids. They were successful but we were desperate for heals. Here are some logs of our first major HoT raid with him raiding with another guild while we worked hard for our first HoT kills:

After offering Csisu the deal she refused to give the fungi up for a torpor and said I was railroading her and making her feel bad/pressured. So, in response, I gave her the Torpor spell, apologized, and wanted to avoid further drama. I told her it would be great to have Lamented on more of our raids with Rhovanion. So I realized at that point that this is a person and group of people who are all real life friends -- and I don't know - between the mumble private channel (Yes, they actually had a locked channel within the mumble that was offlimits to ordinary Seabass members and even me, as leader), the multi-guild tags, the cliqueiness, the collective ragequitting over stupid petty drama -- I had this gut feeling that they were taking a bit advantage of the guild because of their collective strength. And that they were a destabilizing force. I mean it was obvious that if I kicked one of them they would all leave and it could really hurt the guild. So maybe they thought that they could dictate what decisions and policies I enforce and not, due to their collective strength. I couldn't let it go any further.
Thinking about all of this for a sec, combined with the spell thing, I removed Lamented (Rhovanion) from the guild and asked for his RBB back. He promptly shot me a tell saying "Oh you want to play that way?" He immediately closed mumble for our HoT raid, crippling our ability to communicate on it. We had to scramble to get my officer Jeanbaptiste's Mumble up at that point. Luckily we did, we were able to have a pretty smooth raid. Rhovanion was there the entire time raiding with Taken while we were struggling. I thought the raid went pretty good considering we were very low on people and I thought things would calm down and improve after the raid ended. I hoped so anyway. People were sensing drama and they were right.
Unfortunately, Kordain (also plays Annorakh, Thrakdar), one of our four officers, had other plans. He was so upset by my actions that he took it upon himself to call a raid and organize the bass to kill Fay for Lamented/Csisu the next day. Fay dropped a torpor. He promptly awarded that, with no discussion, to Csisu, outside of the guild and did not let our members roll for or even have a chance at it. This all happened while I was offline. I mean what would you do in this situation as a guildleader? What we had was a purposeful raid intended to inflame drama and split the guild apart. Kordain basically shit on the other Bass officers, members, and my opinions by doing what he wanted to help his friends and not preserve the will of the guild leadership. He was tearing the guild apart at that point.
So I still resolved to try to calm the situation, to talk to Kordain, and he agreed in tells that he would calm down and join us on our Kael raid, which was happening that day, to help gear out some of our new folks. He did not end up showing up.
Later, contrary to "calming down" as he told me, he left the guild, making it as public as possible -- in the motd.
Seeing that Kordain was our first member and what I thought was a pretty close friend, his betrayal here and power trip caused me to disband the guild, I really had no choice.
So yeah, all these greedy scumbags reformed into Paradigm Shit. They've been farming HoT for months, not progressing, and basically living off the same velious raid strats and progression strategies that I shared with them as their raid leader. Not that there's much to EQ anyway. But yeah, fuck these guys.
