Why was I just banned?

I was in NRo for Bob's xmas giveaway and I was suddenly banned. Was I mistaken as a trainer? Please check the logs and you'll see I had no wrongdoing. I am a level 13 shaman and brand new to the server. Just wanted to have a chance at some prizes. Thanks

Because I was suddenly disconnected and states that this account is currently banned when I try to log in

If you go Linkdead and try to log back in before your character has been kicked from the world, you'll get a message saying you're banned but that's not actually the case.

Wait 5 minutes and try again. This server only allows 1 connection per IP address. As Chanus stated, if you go LD - your IP is temporarly banned (because it shows as connected). It'll free up.

Hmm, it has actually been about 15 min since I was dc'ed and it still shows that message. What has me concerned about this is that I was dc'ed right after I said, "Hobby is here", since I saw him looking over us and had heard about him as a GM here on the forums. I'm hoping that my message didn't come across to him as me being a perp of some sort.

I'd just quit, to tell you the truth. It's not worth playing here. This server was cool when after they got past the first DDOS attacks, but they've got a "guides" who are passive aggressive little cunts with god complexes. They're going to ruin the server's reputation, and to tell the truth, they deserve it. So, don't petition, or complain, or you'll get the ban hammer from GM I'M A GOD HERE. I'm going to make sure my old EQ friends know what's up, and I'll be doing the same on forums I frequent. My account is in good standing, and has never been banned, or suspended. But it probably will be after this post. That should let you know everything you need to know about this server. Namely, it's fucked.
Or, you could just quit quietly - if it bothers you so much. Guess that won't get all that gamer-angst out of your system though?

My account was banned also and I have no clue as to why, I logged in Weds night and did some porting from ec for about an hour, didnt play all day thursday then went to log in on friday and said my account was banned. I have since posted in the petition thread and no reply since posting on friday. =(

what they dont understand is that train happen! they do...sont ppl do it for fun and other do it because of adds, SHIT HAPPENDS when the world figures that out there will be peace.

This is completely absurd. I am a level 13 shaman, and was grouped with a higher level shaman who offered to invis low level players to be safe from the trains. I was invisible and sitting with the crowd when I was suddenly disconnected. It was immediately after I said, "Hobby is here" in general chat. Could that have somehow signified to him that I was a trainer? I hope to get this resolved. Please check all of the logs and server information. It will show that I did not have any part whatsoever in such childish behavior. I was actually killed multiple times in EC from the guard trains. I have had nothing but an amazing experience thus far since I have started on the server last week, and all the great memories from a decade ago are there again. Anyone else who was there that saw me please vouch for me here. Thank you everyone.
