View Full Version : Something to Keep in Mind Before you vote for Trump

Keeping it short and simple:

Trump likes to talk about how we get ripped off by other countries via trade deficits. And he is right that we have trade deficits -- meaning that we buy more tangible goods from other countries than we sell them.

He is ignoring what anyone who knows anything about trade policy knows (as in, not very many people). That is, that we make money off these trade relationships outside the realm of tangible goods. In other words, rich businessmen from their country invest in our economy (which is some cases is a lot more stable), and rich business men from our country make money in the other country.

The current account is positive -- meaning our country gets more money from these relationships than it loses as things stand.

Now there is a problem with jobs being shipped overseas. This makes it so wealthy people have more opportunity and poor people have less (generally speaking). But wealth redistribution doesn't seem to be on the agenda for Trump. I honestly am not sure if he is going to do a damn thing with trade, other than some token policy for PR.

Hilary is unlikely to do much with trade. Sanders is a coin toss.

Sanders - bloodthirsty Jew, look at his Israeli policy.

Outsourcing is a real problem in the states. If I was American and votes actually mattered, I would vote for someone that I knew was going to stop the outsourcing.

I know that Germany stops a lot of outsourcing for all kinds of labor jobs. But their system of government is completely different. It's called "corporatism." As in they get big corporations to sit down with big labor (unions are much bigger and better organized in Germany) and the government mediates solutions so that unions don't ask for too much to cripple the business.

I might as well stop there (rather than explaining why there workers are way more skilled), because there is no way a majority of Americans will agree to anything like this. They want the magical free market solution that fixes all problems.

Ill have you know that this is at least 300-level undergraduate work.

Far be it for me to think someone might be interested in trumps central fucking argument before he becomes the Republican nominee.

I feel people need to increase the intensity of the dunks on these type of threads. I feel they are being given too many witty replies.

I'll leave Juris with this. Thread is shit. Make sure you stay on blue.

I know this might hard for some of you to believe, but I honestly don't care about your approval that much. I wrote this because I think Americans should know this information, and the media does a shit job of disseminating it. These is one of the only forums I'm on where people aren't necessarily politically informed already.

There's a lot of waiting in EQ. Have to pass the time somehow.

I can't wait to see how "great" America is when President Trump is done with it. Hopefully at least equal to or greater than the levels of greatness we saw during Bush era.

The wealth distribution we need today pales in comparison to the distribution we're going to need in the near future when we start shipping jobs off to the cloud.

I love it when some dipshit goes around telling everyone how much more "informed" they are than everyone else.
