Play the circle more. Going to the center of the next circle just leads to having to take firefights from multiple directions. Use the blue as a wall so you don’t need to watch behind you all the time.

We have had an amazing 2018 so far! Everyone is playing at a high level and we are not only killing majority of the content (so far) but are still pushing ourselves and testing our skills by killing the hardest content in the game!

Shout out to all the new people and old alike who are making the plays and devoting the time required to achieve success and this week proved we were just as hungry and determined as ever. A lot of new blood coming up and they are making their mark in the ranks!

Last night we decided to give Sontalak yet another death, and a death we gave him! Everyone was on point and did an amazing job!

Sontalak is a nasty fight and it requires almost near perfection. Thats exactly what happened last night as we killed him for the 6th time and still remain the only active guild to do so!

We at Aftermath are posting with heavy hearts today. We were informed that a long time member, Tanasg, has passed away. I, and several others, had the pleasure of meeting him a couple times in real life and being able to sit down and talk to him, party with him, watch him drink wayyyy too much and passing out at the table playing cards. I truly feel blessed I was able to meet him, as Im sure everyone else who did does as well as all the members of the guilds hes been a part of.

He was facing constant illness and was suffering though a lot of medical conditions and it never brought him down. He was happy not only at those meet ups, but was also the nicest guy in game. He would do anything for anyone and if he couldn't hed try his best anyways, both in real life and for his guild. Someone like him is someone that everyone should look up to and admire because hes the epitome of how to handle all the shit that life throws at you:

Dont let it bring you down and live your life.

RIP Scott, you will be sorely missed.

On his last EverQuest day he (and some friends) successfully farmed a Torpor up from Guardian Wurms. I'd like to think he had some happiness in his heart, if only a little, from getting something nice.

I've been looking for some awesome words about Tanasg that could properly due him justice. But I can't. I wasn't super close to him by any means, but having been guilded with him in Forsaken we spent a lot of time grouping together and raiding, and I'd consider him a friend.

I spent some time going through logs last night with 'Tanasg tells' as the find, and it impressed me on how awesome he was for doing the little things that often times are over looked. Like the time he spent a couple hours in OT getting people hammers free of charge, the times we grouped and just had the most random conversations while barely paying attention to the game, and how when someone in guild was looking for people for some obscure quest if he wasn't busy he would usually be first to step up offer his shaman or slew of alts. The times he wasn't feeling well and would actually apologize for being sick and needing to log.

P99 is certainly filled with drama, dbaggery, and toxicity. Tanasg was above all that and truly one of those people who makes the game great.

He will be missed.

I've played this server since 2012 and always worried about DKP guilds and if I would even be able to win any items if I joined one, but the server is now in a good place where were 3-4 years into velious and people arent cutting each others throat for pixels anymore. I was worried about how long it would take me to win especially good items as I was really only after BiS at the end of the day and figured it would take me much longer. After about 9 months of being in the guild I have won 5 BiS items as well as a bunch of other very cool items for alts as well as neat clickable gear from places such as Veeshans Peak.

I was actually surprised when after my first month I had won a rarer dozekar tear for 1/3 of the total dkp I had gained in 2 months. Was definitely surprised when I won a vulak item that is BiS for about a month worth of DKP of logging in when I could only make it for a raid and responding to the batphones that were in my timeframe of playing. We even had a player who has only been in the guild for a little under 5 months and has won a dain ring, 2 very good vulak items, and an Avatar of War ring. This is definitely a guild in which you will actually see items in your inventory a lot faster than most of the competition in many aspects especially if you're just someone who can only make a few raids here and there per week. Maintaining 20% RA for a month is a lot easier than it sounds especially since earthquakes make the windows nice and close together. Then once you make full member you can bid on items as long as you maintain 10% RA or higher. Its very easy to maintain.

Also people who want to try a bit harder and like competition we have a great community. Weve proven time and time again that we can down mobs with minimal numbers and also we can down mobs with higher numbers if we want because we dont exclude anyone that wants to join and meets raid requirements. If you want to join and you are a decent person and can make raid requirements (which arent hard at all to meet) you can join the fun and theres absolutely no resentment on our side. We are also very humble, we dont boast to our competition when we kill conceded mobs or win multiple spawned mobs in a row. We just play the game to have fun.

In 9 months alone ive seen 15+ green dragon scales (and YES! They have ALL been bidded off to mains or alts) and thats just the times ive logged in for hoshkar or severilous raid, if youre a good warrior and considering joining a high end raiding guild to experience the content you will be greatly appreciated! We have great mentors and are always looking for future mentors!

That also goes for all classes though. We all help each other on any type of epic quest, or quests such as grazicors wraith.

We do all content still with the exception of a few non-priority targets (like talendor and spawned faydedar, we still do quest triggered faydedar though for the druid epics). Get to explore Veeshans Peak and Sleepers Tomb, we are there every week! We regularly kill Lord Nagafen and once in a blue moon, Lady Vox. We still kill trakanon regularly so its easier for newer members and alts to get their veeshans peak keys. We do ring wars once or twice a week and Ive never been to a ring war that we failed, we have so many people with ring 10s its hard to keep track how many exactly.

Its a great guild especially if youre on the fence about joining a hardcore raiding guild like I was for so long, im definitely glad I made the jump. You may not like DKP because you've been in a DKP guild before and its not your pace, or because you just dont like the idea but never actually experienced a DKP guild but you will definitely earn items at a great pace in Aftermath if you decide to join.

I'm not sure what the other guys got but maybe they'll compile a comprehensive list; it was definitely one of their worst days in recent history. Here's the truth of it though, these things go back and forth. There's good weeks and bad weeks, but even on a bad week we can still nab the best mobs in the game.

Having fun with your buddies is what its all about imo. Lots of good homes in P99 to choose from, hope you find yours like lots of us have at Aftermath. Detoxx does a good job of keeping us all in check and happy. Theres a reason he is still in charge after all these years.

Also fuck the new Call of Duty, very unsatisfying even winning or going on a kill streak. PUBG still does it better even with all its clunky desync bullshit. Always looking for more FPS gamers, I play with Tempest members, Core members, Aftermath members, if your an FPS junky, lets get in touch and dominate.
