<Tempest> Now Recruiting

Tempest is a new coalition of players on red99 who have decided to come together and start a new guild. We are not all old players we include new players who have been on the server for only a few months already.

Our aspiration is to provide anyone that is able to enter the planes a guild where Tabula rasa is given to those who join. Grudges run deep on our server we have a limited population with some players having spent half a decade here. That leads to the secondary goal.

We want to hopefully build back up some of the server whether it is attempting to recruit off blue or some people who have become disenfranchised with the server to come back. There are many raid targets and viable gear that can go to everyone that are not on lock-down or ignored completely.

Decorum between us and the other guilds would be nice. Personally there is nothing sweeter then fighting and claiming “pixels” as the server calls it from another guild; that doesn’t mean we can’t rez them and help them grab the corpses I would hope that they would do the same for us.

We will be prioritizing Velious quest BPs for people. But you know how it is - Anyone can contract fungus brain and find themselves killing mushrooms for 8 hours in a row.

Helped finish two epics for new to server people, major gear upgrades for three new to server people, helped Threepeat on his epic, and taught five people new to end game raiding the basics.

Honestly I haven't felt this good about EQ for awhile. You have to be pretty on the ball to kill these mobs when some new guildies still have leather and only 18 people, but they all did their part really well.

yaw also interested. lvl 42 magician here. just got runed cowl and SMR with a PUG group this week. I was also grouped with some senior members of Tempest in lguk briefly who were nice enough to help me get a sick two-pair of moonstone rings. Making a lot of Tempest friends fast. Think I even got a Serpentine ringamajig thingy that monks can use thrown in for free after we cleared hand room. You guys are cool as tits on a bull or something. Anyway I reckon I'm feeling pretty strongly about Tempest now and I think I'm ready to step up. As Ragnaros has said Tempest is helping a lot of people and the community knows it.

can you tell us more about the extent of the raiding. looking for a solid naggy/vox double whammy slambo wambo style of guild. Like killing both in the same day. yall got that?

Honestly, everything from AoN's to upgrading from feathered leggings to vermiculated for our members. You can say what you want, but our members are getting huge gains from this just making them that much more excited to contest for better mobs.

It's all one step at a time. We contested in raw hide and advisor robes without resist gear. Now they are gearing up from legitimate rags and able to hang in fights longer. It's pretty awesome.

To top it off, they all really want to learn to PvP. Tempest really is the best of all our members firms. The laid back culture of CS. Fresh attitudes and new to box people from Thunderdome who hand down loot when they get upgrades. The PvP knowledge of Friends, PvE from Empire, and love of PvP like Valhalla.

I don't think Casual Scum broke because of this. They are still around (see their post). Just as some core members of Friends are still around. Just neither guild really wanted to change up a good thing to contest.

But some like minded people wanted to give it a shot, to see if it really was possible to make an alternative. Now it's up to how well we support and develop our new people to see if we really can. So far we are improving, but as always there is a learning curve to running a solid guild. Balancing governance and compensation being the most difficult, but also trying to look after the needs of every new recruit.

I can't wait foe most of this for wave to make 60 and get epic'd. I think those are food milestones for them, while slowing improving their other gear while we practice on Kunark Dragons, HoT, and some Velious mobs.

Sounds amazing! We've got more than a few casuals, including myself. I will disappear for a week at a time for work etc. and no one minds. They still help me out with gear and raids. We've taken a bit more of a relaxed approach that recognizes this is just a game. Yesterday alone three of us all had girlfriend agro and had to leave...

He immediately took offence and wouldnt take no for an answer and was desperately lashing out and argueing. He then proceeded to go into every teamspeak channel and berger out using sexist and racial slurs until he was banned from teamspeak. We hold our members to a high standard and like to keep it a clean enviroment. I was not the only officer present and we all agreed that it was best to let people that display those terms of behavior go. ( Pappa is another example of this )

You weren't even in the Officer Channel, so how would you know what was said? Etheir way I dont have a personal issue with Zechariah i think hes an alright guy but we made a decision that we wanted him to take a lesser role during raids and he completely melted. Our decision was not soley based on the events of that night. We are moving on and we wish him good luck with his future endeavors on the server.
