The log speaks for itself. Runs by, aggros all of orc2, runs EAST away from zone line. I look away from the screen and this is what happens.

Afterwards he walked (as in accidentally turned off run) by and said some more of the same after inspecting me. What a surprise the guildie I was doing a favor for already knew Cyborg was an idiot.
Yes, I know this happens all the time, but it's always just as hilarious as it was ten years ago.

Funny that, he's the same bloke I mentionned into another post. I said in my previous post I wouldn't name the bugger (as requested by the forum's rules) but seeing how I'm not the only one, I tend to agree with Detox that public humiliation is the best tin we can do to fend this sort of bugs off the server so here it is.
To the devs, I appreciate this post goes against the server rules. Please feel free to delete this post and to take any sort of action (against the bugger or me for breaking the rules) if you see fit.
Kind regards,
Nagash

Lol, so he asks you if you can damage shield, you ignore him, he tells you "fk u fag" and you get your panties in a twist over that? Yes, Nilborg will put your request right to the front of the queue. It's not like they're busy or anything.

I don't understand why you'd report a player as stupid as that. He'll get what's coming to him.

I get this being moved to rants & flames but the community needs some way of dealing with people like this beyond /ignore.
1. It's inappropriate to spread the word on the forums that this is a person to avoid
2. It's inappropriate to train them in game
3. It's not something the devs will act on
How can I cause a negative consequence to behavior like this? Without a consequence, we're not as a community discouraging this kind of behavior in any meaningful way. /ignore simply doesn't punish.

I gave that guy 5p food, water, and buffs in Qeynos Hills last night. Also told him to get a port to EC.
What a dick, I want my 5p back.

I still dont see what went wrong here? He accidently ran though an orc camp while looking the other way?
I gave the guy 40, a stack of food and a level because he seemed so new.
Wtf is this thread even about?

Anyone can make a mistake. It's also possible to make a mistake without being a dick to other people. When someone is an asshole, as this guy clearly was, there should be a consequence of some sort. Since we're not allowed to train them, this is the consequence: he's being made fun of on the internet!

People who do this sort of shit in-game just want attention. You not only gave him that, but started a post about him on the forums too. This is like giving a child candy for having a temper tantrum.

You obviously do not know the game. /ignore will punish him. Once he gets higher level and is looking for groups, it will get pretty hard for him unless he wants to solo all day long.

Then I have to ask the GM's for a name change, and reapply to IB for epic pet.

Problem with that is, those kinda players don't usually see beyond their own bullshit. Not when they're lowbies, not when they're 50.
Maybe it'd be a good idea for the community to compile a list of these douchebags for everyone to streer clear of. Nothing like a server-wide "ignore" to make them see the error of their ways.

yah sure, then we can all get blackbooked for calling someone an asshole. good idea. which one of you gestapos want to set up the guide rules for that one?
if he's so new and such a newbie, train him anyways. he won't know how or be able to prove it happened.

There is some truth to this, but will word spread enough for this to have significant effect if we can't publicize his behavior?

Could be, but this wasn't my impression. He definitely had that "everyone else is here to make my play time more fun" thing going on, and it was certainly a temper tantrum, but I don't think he was an "any attention is good attention" type. He kept his shit local he didn't /shout /ooc etc. it like he would have if he was trolling (a la Seaweedpimp).
Trolling is done for the fun of getting a reaction, Cyborg was just a douche.

Keep in mind that when he asked for a DS in say, we were at the tunnel in EC. To me, a /say in the tunnel asking for a buff is addressed to the whole population present, not one person in particular (otherwise, use /t). Bearing in mind the number of druids and magicians always present here, I can confidently say that his /say wasn't addressed to me.
Seeing how this bloke has done it to others, I can safely say that this guy is a prick and I don't think an IP ban should be out of question (and I don't think it requires a huge amount of work although I'm not an IT person and wouldn't bet my shirt on that).
Kind regads,

A mistell can happen when a lot of people send you tells and you hit "r" after receiving a tell from the wrong person. In the present case, I didn't send him any so he had to type in "/t Petitpas Whatever_stupid_thing" to send me a tell. Not sure how to justify a mistell under such circumstances (or are there some other ways to send a message to someone that I don't know of like in other games where you can right click people's icon and select the send message option?).
