This made a lot of people sick especially people who just play and don't read the forums or file petitions. Many lost accounts and assumed their friends had stripped them and deleted their character. It's a big scandal.

Also how many were banned for false pretenses because some 3rd party logged in and did illegal trades and activity on their account?

We have no idea the extent of the damage but I am sure it is huge otherwise it would have been acknowledged if they were confident they had a handle on it.
