Which is your favorite EQ race and why?

I'm a fan of Erudites. Erudin is a cool city, it's located waaay up in the corner of the world, and their armor looked neato with the Luclin graphics.

Iksar is my favorite race.

Because I love their starting zones, and their whole continent for that matter. I also enjoy their innate regen, and I think they look pretty awesome.

I like halflings. They're just kind of these chill little people who hang out, eat, and smoke. And Rivervale has the best town music in the game.

Ogres cos there fat , anti stunnable (Frontal), Slam, most Sta, funny looking, and stacked they can block doorways (only requires 2-3). Specially say ogre ports up somewhere and doesnt move, everyone else get stuck in there belly!

Ogre quests have us kill inkies since they're scheming against our favors!

Ogres! The sheer size and the faces they get. Love the death sound/animation especially, with the sitting down and "uooh". The way they hold 2h swords is awesome imo, the whole blade bit just comes from between the fingers.

Trolls used to be able to do it too. I think EMU code actually makes blocking more difficult than it was on live - i've noticed I can basically run through ogres, whereas on live it was like running around a large tree...

On live, we always used to joke about causing trains when some ogre or troll was standing at the zone line in Sol B and getting everyone killed...

There's another thread just like this one, but since it lists drakkin it officially doesn't exist in my mind.

I like halfling because they're short. They look comical. Their homecity is non-linear(ish) and it's small(ish) and accesible. One of the textures looks like phil collins. They're not vain; they look ruggid. They're sly.

Dwarves can flip and the females have beards. That makes them second only to halflings.

Gnomes get 3rd place because they're short, look like grandpa and have a cool confusing city.

4th place goes to Ogres because they scratch themselves and got the best smiles.

5th place goes to every other race except trolls because i haven't been to their ugly homecity yet.

(with special mention for the wood elf city... if you can find it and navigate it you're /friend)

I've mostly played humans and half elves and wood elves because of my preferred classes.

I like the old racial models. They don't try too hard. The luclin ones are stale to me. If I was asked to judge hte races based on luclin models this list would be 180 different. And I'd not enjoy making it.

I love the armor looks for Paladins & Shadow Knights. I have an erudite mage & my daughter started a chanter, the extra int is awesome.

Gnomes. We can make fireworks at level 1, our city has a zoo and the most helpful guards in the entire game and few other races are so hilarious ill-equipped for the classes available to them.

Not to mention our secret and incredibly useful racial ability.
