So I'm sitting at KFC in front of the 2 rook spawn just up the ramp a ways. I have been camping this spot for a while, when a bard runs up, attacks the rook that spawned, and then pulls every single other mob in and around KFC. There were at least 4 other people camping the ground under KFC, but the bard ran circles in the area taking every single mob the second that it spawned. I complained in ooc that it was rude, and that he was forcing everyone to leave their camp so that they can xp, to which he replied, "lol, jealous?"
A few minutes later I was fighting an aviak that spawned, so what does he do? He runs his 15 mob pull over me, killing me, then continues to kite. He continues the process for a good half hour. (minus the training me part)
Really bards? Really? Pulling a massive amount of mobs is impressive, it really is, but is it possible for you to do it without ruining the fun of everyone else in the area in the process?
If I had a dime for every time I wanted to stab a bard in the face, I would have 30 cents.

This is when root and snare are fun.

Be assured that he will never successfully kill any of those mobs, so... theres that.

Ya he will. A bard can kite 15+ mobs with ease. By ease I mean a little practice.

When you see him next, root one or two of them, snare another 1 or 2, then it will screw him all up.

Just report the asshole. Maybe it's a "habit" of his.

if you got gate, pull something HUGE at him (have gate set outside zone). Run towards him with said huge mob(s) and gate your ass out

Having a bard who kites in SK let me tell you how to get revenge. Pull any large - giant sized mob or mobs and run them into the kite and it will completely mess him up because its impossible to kite large/giant sized mobs. I have had 20+ mobs kiting just to accidentally run into the cyclops which made me have to zone all that work. Very annoying.

1. Mez the cyclops
2. Equip drum
3. Run away
4. Resume kiting until the cyclops comes back, and repeat step 1.
Unless of course running into the cyclops got you stunned and hit for lots of damage, in which case I'd have zoned out just to be safe.

There was a happy ending to the story. He sat down and hit /q when he was finished, and a lioness killed him. It was a small victory, but there was much rejoicing. I just hope he was bound in a galaxy far, far away.
Karma hits you for 10 points of damage.

i was there today and saw 2 different bards doing this, its kind of a bummer i thought kfc would be lightly camped on p1999. but so far it has be a bard/druid kiting area. with that said ive got 1 and a half levels in around 5 hours played time there, so im still managing to do fairly well soloing there since spawn times are pretty fast. with that being said i personally didnt send either of them a tell or ask them to ease up a bit, but there was clearly other people there. next time maybe send them a tell and see if you can work it out if its a realy big problem for you, and if they are a dick make a folder on your desktop with their name in it so when you run into them later you know they are a prick. its worked for me, p1999 is a pretty small community for the most part people who are real douchers get known for being such and arnt wanted in groups/guilds.

I wouldn't mind them taking mobs if they didn't take a fucking hour to kill them. It's annoying sitting at an empty spawn waiting for the bard to finish his kite + 6 minutes.

It doesn't usually take that long to kill the mobs assuming the Bard is good. In fact the amount of time it takes to kill mobs per capita is probably faster than with most other classes since they're aoeing dozens of mobs at once with no real downtime.

Yeah, you'd think on a server with 5,000 druids that South Karana would be pretty desolate.
