Back on topic, variance might be the solution for red but some rule changes would need to be made to the LnS policy.
Let's say everyone is fighting for zone control of KC for a Venril Sathir kill because the window is 16 hours. That would make for some amazing pvp across DL/KC for over half a day, but the LnS rules probably would screw things up. There should be a shorter LnS timeframe when it comes to raid zones while mobs are in window to keep the pvp flowing.

I actually don't need any pixels, I just enjoy spying on Holo while taking pixels from them.
Lite is a very generous guild leader and if I actually needed something I would go to Azrael before Holocaust.

NOPE if you're engaged in large scale pvp you cannot call individual LNS and if you call guild LNS your force is locked from the zone.
LNS was not intended to protect players so they could raid the dragon, it's meant for players to recover their body and get the fuck out of the area.

Variance was never tried on red, if you're saying red is the same as blue then you don't belong here.
We have no clue if variance would or wouldn't work on a pvp server, we do know that static timers aren't working tho, we have 3 years of data to prove that.

LNS was not intended to protect players so they could raid the dragon, it's meant for players to recover their body and get the fuck out of the area.
I've never had to LNS. Always been able to log out, summon later.
I don't think I like LNS, as much as a bluebie I may be. If some nerd keeps annoying you, come back in force or come back at another time.
This is considering how easy it is to get corpses restored here. If that wasn't around I might reconsider. Prolly not though, CRing is generally very easy. If it isn't, you went into a high risk place and lost.

Its ok. We know you really like being in Holo. So much that you keep apping on different toons.
Btw, since you have already complained about Holo locking down most of the raid mobs, we know you can't get anything you would need from Azrael. If you could, all this talk of needing variance would just be moot.

Banhammer helps a bit there but I agree, some kind of plat sink would be nice.
Having shit rot is hard unless you are connected, so I don't like that idea. I could totally see Syft spend 18 hours a day to grief some employed nerd in an oracle robe.

Holo has more than enough for velious... but just in case you do care, continuing to accept anything with a pulse actually is hurting the server now.
Not even the staff agrees with you, but we all know you don't care about the server and only give a shit about what gets Nirgon the most pixels.

Variance mainly makes raiding more demanding, since you need members prepared to get up in the middle of the night to kill a dragon.
Asking for variance here is hoping that being able to batphone 20 people at 4 in the morning is going to make you have more online then an 80 people guild of which most have jobs / families.
Holo has like 500, so variance isn't going to help in a significant way, besides serving as an excuse.
"if only we had variance".

Of course variance would promote pvp, but blues don't want pvp they do just about anything to avoid it and static timers of all raid mobs up the same day a week provides them the perfect opportunity to avoid it completely.

Knowing when a mob spawns should help a guild set up to contest better, especially if they need a tactical advantage when they don't have the numbers. KSing and ninja looting are legal as well on raid mobs on red so there's plenty of opportunity to take a target and I think that makes it more easily contestable without variance.

So that '75% of the server' is going to sock variance and the smaller guild will have <10 on at a time when the large guild can batphone for probably about 40 people still. Variance never solved any problems on blue and it's been a cancer that's there to stay. I don't think you really want it on red cuz those shots at primetime pvp/mobs disappear forever.

The filthy casuals are too lazy to get out of bed in the middle of the night. Neckbeards will just be warmed up, it greatly benefits them.
This doesn't mean I disapprove of neckbearding in any way, its just that the goal of this request is obvious and way too late.
