Why is using an Npc train that you FD upon your opponents considered illegal on Red?? That shits classic and if we don't have spells and gear how do you expect us to stay fearsome???

This shits some bullshat

hey you fools I play on a pvp server so I can pvp some fools right in their faces.

sayin "play better" when u mean to go run and hide in a zone alone to grind on a pvp server is some more bullshat. If a fool wants to nuke me when I'm fighting gnolls or whatever I should have every right to run a train of gnolls and all their cousins back into his butthole. Not about grinding about revenge

I agree with this first part. Let players play the game and quit imposing these additional flawed rules on us. just let us play the game.

I agree. Rules that try to enforce some arbitrary "fair play" on a PvP server ignores the unique abilities of each class to retaliate against one another. If a casting class knew that it risked a monk training them in retaliation for nuking them to death while exping then they may think twice beforehand. A true free-for-all PvP server would police hacking and exploits but wpi;d otherwise let the players develop their own social contract to govern themselves. If it's possible in the game mechanics then it should be allowed. Period.

Train a bunch of mobs but instead of flopping them on the caster just say something like: If you kill me we're both fukkn done for m8. Then FD them away and tell them you are now brothers for both staring death in the face.

After such a manly display they will have no choice but to buff you and give you some peridots.

Wait, you cant train on red? These servers really are completely lost

That would circumvent the whole level range pvp system they have. Which I don't think I like. Opens up single group members to attack while the rest of your group just watches. Lineage 2 had a system where it was completely ffa pvp, but you got flagged for combat for 2 mins when you attacked or retaliated. If you killed someone who didn't retaliate you got a pk point instead of a pvp point, you'd turn red, and would drop gear on death until you worked your karma off.

Only RPK system I've ever liked in a game. Once the game went F2P, they ruined the karma system and took the last good thing about the game with it.

I am inclined to agree with OP. Trains are are an entirely reasonable combat tactic and I don't think it trivializes the player-player aspect of the engagement, rather it reinforces the need for social interaction and cooperation that EQ is built upon. The more folks you are able to recruit to your team, the less of a concern trains become and the more empowered you become to respond in kind ^^

its player vs player combat. when you train mobs onto people, thats player vs environment...reroll blue nerd

War is war and the environment the battle-filed. S/he who controls the environment controls the battle ;) Take your clannish pride back to the northlands :P

its player vs player combat. when you train mobs onto people, thats player vs environment.

And when you combine the two, that's called griefing. If you can grief someone safely without them being able to retaliate (level range pk system), you have a broken game.
